I'm not a boater yet... I learned some life saving info in this video - the difference between a life vest and a PFD. Thank you! 👏🏻
One vitally important feature that many life jackets do NOT have, is the ability to act as a harness so that the wearer can be hoisted out of the water with a halyard. I would not buy a life jacket without that feature. Many people have drowned simply because they couldn't get back into the boat, especially in rough weather. This one appears to have that ability. I say that because of the 2 steel D rings. You would clip the shackle through both of them because that little plastic buckle would fail. However I wish they stated that specifically.
Thanks for the comment
Great Video Sir. Thank you for taking your time to do this for all prospective boaters.

Replace if red or 2012. OR, Replace if red during 2012? Mine says 2012 but it’s still green. Do I need to replace it or wait until it’s red?
I would contact Mustang but it seems to me replace when red OR at end of 2012
I'd be worried about the zipper jamming up.
Haven't ever heard of this happening
Good, but a little too slow. I found my attention wandering.
Fair enough!
