Please excuse the sound quality in part of the video! It was very windy and lots of interference

I use to have relatives who lived in Galveston when I was a child.
I loved to ride actoss to Galveston.
We would carry bread for the seagulls who followed the ferry. You could throw a
piece of bread up high in the air and a seagull would swoop down and grab it in the air.
Some people would actually hand feed the seagulls.
Another thing I enjoyed was watching the dolphins swim alongside the ferry.
This video brought back some fond memories. Thank you sir

I live in Houston and go to take the ferry rides often. I’ve ridden on Ray Stoker Jr so many times. It was cool to see that was the one you boarded.

We are planning on a cruise out of Galveston. Arriving from Louisiana, is the ferry reliable to use, time-wise, so we don't miss the boat?

Plan to visit Bolivar peninsula soon, is the water clean there?

Hi there! The water in Bolivar Peninsula is very similar to that of Galveston beaches. There are areas where it might be a bit clearer but overall it’ll look the same, just less crowded than in Galveston at this time of the year.

Really is no view of the gulf of Mexico the trip does not go there on ship channel

The Houston Ship Channel actually runs inland and while it isn't technically part of the Gulf of Mexico, it does connect to it. As for Galveston, much of the island offers beautiful views of the Gulf, but it depends on where you are. The Ship Channel itself doesn't provide those ocean views, but Galveston certainly has plenty of them to enjoy!
