Hi from New Zealand. I've just used those scotch-brite wheels on a cordless drill to restore the crappiest of bronze portholes on a launch I'm restoring. They did about 95%, then a final buff and done! Your videos and humorous (but informative) commentary are great! As a mate of mine was saying, if you ever brought any of your huge trucks to our roads you would just about need the length of NZ to turn them around! Haha, hopefully one day you'll make it down here and see! Stay safe on those Winter roads of yours that are coming up.......
Great video Shane very interesting to see how you clean up the old rims. I like the new dump trailer, I think you need to have a shinning party, bring all your friends over and who does the best job shinng up the trailer gets some alcohol. LOL well it's worth a try. Stay safe out there my friend and keep the videos coming and always travel safely catch you on the next one.
Prefect job on cleaning the rims. That is hands on training cleaning and shining rims but it does takes lots of work to get them looking the way you want. Using the power tool would help on this job if you have the right scrubber but something that does not hurt the metal or is better to be hands on to feel if the drit on the rims is fully off? I guess their are different ways then.
@StevensLTD inside barrels need to be sanded or grind down smoothly, then I have Dura Gloss 860 acid, then use your steps as recommended with a final polishing 👌
Hello Shane. Could the 523 work on the sides of the trailer? Would plastic gloves have saved your skin from burning? The rims look great. Have good days!

Hazelwoods is grade A polishing in southern Ontario! 10 4 buddy!
Nice job on the wheels. Poor White Kitty, and his injury.

Were did you get the 523 acid from
Nice job. Looks good
Is that 523 or 503 the same acid that’s used on cement mixers? Cause that shits NASTY. Work well though.
A little polishing once you’re done with them will really make them pop !!! 👊💪☝️🤣
