As far as I'm concerned, Andy, you're one of the best dinosaur figure painters that I've ever seen. I say that being an artist for 50 years, and a pro artist since '96. You really seem to get the right balance with color and patterns. Your Chasmosaurus renders look totally plausible. Sometimes you see these crazy patterns where people are trying too hard to be bold with the color to counter-act they old gray and earth tone look of dinosaur figures from yesterday, and they do some outrageous stuff that just doesn't seem believable or credible. While dinos probably were far more colorful than they were depicted in artworks of yesterday, it can be hard to get behind some dino figure paints. I never have that issue with your work. It always looks 100% credible. I love the way you brought out all the nice wrinkling in the skin with some proper dark contrasting paint in the recesses, putting all those nice details on display! Take a bow, man!
That is one of the best compliments I think I've ever been given! Thank you SO MUCH!!! That means so much to me!!! I agree completely. Nowadays I feel like people at times overpaint their models as well. I try to keep it simplistic and natural, but still interesting. Thank you again for such k8nd words!!
@@andysdinosaurreviews You're very welcome. Google image search my name sometime if you are interested in seeing my artwork by the way. There's lots of stuff out there. Looking forward to your next video review!
