Hispanic Heritage Month - Nancy Lopez

One of the most celebrated and accomplished golfers of all time, Nancy Lopez, shares her thoughts on being the first Hispanic player on the LPGA Tour and the doors she opened for others along the way. Lopez won 48 times on the LPGA Tour, including three major championships and she is a member of the LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame.

I remember spending a summer with my aunt Earnestine in Carlsbad NM and her telling me she and Nancy were good friends and golf partners, and that my aunt even said Nancy tried to get her to go pro, that she was that good, but my aunt said if she did, it would become work, and then she'd no longer enjoy playing.
