They should keep some discount for college students, it will bring more business to them.
So for Arpi, this cafe is for Instagrammers and not for ordinary middle class ppl, it's overhyped, overrated and overpriced. Ppl who will spend so much in a cafe, will rather go to a restaurant and hv a wholesome meal. Very bad business strategy. Prices should have been low when starting the cafe and if liked by ppl then may be the price hike wd hv planned, ppl shld love the food , not the decor, ultimately decor is not edible. Also I feel decor is too loud for a cafe or eatery, bcz ppl can't concentrate more on the food with such loud decor

People are claiming to be college students here and they don't know how much food would be priced for in a area like Salt Lake ? Do these kids think these youtubers have opened a place for them to go and eat at 100 rs each plate ? They have set up a business place to earn not for some UA-cam meet-up . I don't follow them nor have I seen any of their vlogs but the investment for such place would be really high then paying so many staff and chefs .
Agree food has to be good for a long run but these subscribers of them claiming as if they had said the cafe is only opened for the subscribers to visit there lol .
The cafe is not looking like Santorini,,what they have mentioned..It is very cluttered and clumsy,,with lots of unwanted decor..Being living in European countries for so many years,,and visited Santorini have not seen so much colours there..😂😂

I don’t think a Cafe can run on just the decor or Insta photo ops. Food has to be good and affordable. Which I do not think is the case on the basis of Foodzpah’s reactions!
Liked the Cafe facade. The garden looks cute. Liked the ‘Stay blessed’… logo placement idea ( definitely they are trying hard to connect with their IO subscribers and it is a witty idea) but the Cafe decor is way too cluttered. As Arpita mentioned nothing was much planned and it was all improvisations. Which shows clearly!!

I agree to the part “the cafe decor is way too cluttered”-i like the look of it, but I just have the feeling that they overdid it with the wall hangings and posters on every wall, it’s slightly killing the classy look of the place which is honestly well done

I feel this cafe is overhyped and overrated & overpriced , there are so many good cafes in kolkata which is not so overrated , but I really feel disappointed for those cafe owners who actually trying to serve good food at very reasonable price and they are not getting any cooperation😔

Decor is decent not too great not too dump. The Cafe decor is being copied from various other cafes all around kolkata , so according to the decor i will give my thumps down.
Now , coming to food quality and range price is too high ( for such quantity ) so am not here to invest my 1000 bucks for such .

I think they targeted the upper middle class and the higher class people only becaz price is quite high as per many other reputed cafes of kolkata.Hope it will work out but i thnk they could keep the price little lower .maybe the food is good but due to price most of the PPL will not go .

The pricing strategy is quite understandable, the Cafe is meant for niche patrons, not for the ordinary denizens, who would spend little and spend hours. The strategy of Starbucks. Revenue generated from Vlog Channel has been used there and quite an expensive fare has been rolled out, and, hence, the high pricing. The channel is meant for all and sundry and advertising too riding piggyback on it. But the Cafe is not for all, only the niche patrons will go for it. Spend as much time as you like, with adequate revenue assured model. Both are successful professionals in their respective fields, so they know and understand their positioning well. Enough publicity and hype will generate a frenzied footfall in the initial months or rather days, the initial revenue would be enough for recovering a portion of the capital, and it will take its own course with niche patrons visiting daily, and the owners laugh their way to the bank. The food fare is continental too, hence, not for the hoi polloi at least, so everything would be upmarket and niche, students can't even think of making this a permanent hangout zone, save and except the rich brats.

At first when I saw the garnishing and the decoration of the food I thought it was well impressive and good but the moment I saw the price my head was blasting as for a newly opened cafe the rate is divastating and a far older cafe which is more popular than yours could also not as the price being charged like yours but the way Shehbaz Sir appreciate them , according to my thought that's not a good act. I'm a resident of salt lake & I can definitely say there are plenty of cafes selling at somewhat similar price . Outnbeyond has really nice & fancy decor but they should keep in mind to keep the food costs average . Rental prices in salt lake are pretty high . If you keep average prices then you can definitely boost up your buisness

Prices are pretty much on the upper side... To mantain a good rolling of free cash they should have kept the prices on the lower side... Anyways prices are subjective as well. Bt if i keep the pricepoint in my mind I would rather think 10 times before visiting the place...

The way they started this journey is really appreciating..they did all the little & little things by their own. It seems that they are emotionally so much connected with this cafe..See their plating. It looks beautiful.All baked items are in house made.. I think prices are ok if we compare with the market. I have seen cafés with incredibly higher prices. So, the price point is justified considering inflation and market. Price low rakhte gele ekdomi low rakhte hobe compared to other cafés like 100 rupees for 1 shake. But the taste of food is what matters. Taste r quality bhalo hole beshi price pay korteo problem nei.

The decor above ground level is great. The flooring is not. Should be covered up at least with premium linoleum, if the pricing is to be justified, because a lot of the price that you will pay is for the ambience. Jars, if your shoes and eyes are scraping and being scraped by dusty, worn out, unmatched mosaic. For those commenting on the high prices, these guys are definitely not aiming for the hangout crowd. Its the 3 to low 4 star hotel crowd that's being targeted - the prices are certainly not 5 star, though I've seen attempted upmarket-rustic done with less success in 5 star hotels. So live with it.
