Rogers to Jainis x2 should be at least #2 on this list. Eventhough the passes only sent the game into OT, two hail marys on on drive, one on 4th & 20 backed up in your own endzone, and the other on the last play of regulation, that's insane. Rogers actually threw for more than 100 yards with those two passes alone.
@@lindaperkins5038 The first Janice catch was 60 yards, the second Janice catch was 41 yards. That's 101 yards total. There was a penalty in between the passes, so the packers got backed up before the 2nd hail mary.

It is here because unlike the Hail Marys on Detroit or Arizona -domes with controlled weather- that was on the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau in January... Yes, Lambeau in January. For me, I think it was by that.
Jonathan Gonzalez why? Why must some idiot always say Brady in a Rodgers thread? Besides it’s 2020 and Brady is a buccaneer hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I love how NFL Films always show their reactors fully voicing their dissatisfaction with they way a lot of their lists are ranked (not just this one), almost like they're spiting them. Pretty hilarious to be honest, lol.
I was at both of the Hail Mary throws at Lambeau. I was in the end zone for the one Hakeem Nicks caught for the Giants. It was as soul-crushing of a touchdown as you could get. The Packers were playing poorly in the first half and were going to be lucky to be only down by three at halftime. That essentially ended that game. I can also remember a fair amount of Giants fans being at that game, with so many people assuming the Packers would host the NFC Championship Game the next week. I was in the opposite end zone the one that Randall Cobb caught. I said to the people around me while they were in the huddle before the play, "wouldn't it be something if Aaron could throw a Hail Mary five years later to avenge the one from five years ago?" It was the best gameday experience I have ever had at Lambeau. I was five rows up from the end zone, the closest I had been to the field, and Aaron Rodgers was a baaaaaaaaaaad man!!!!
Yea, but does it really matter if they win or lose when you know you have to ride a cow home in the cold after every game? All those hillbillies riding farm animals home must make that parking lot a mess to get out of.

I watched Michael Johnson win Gold in track. I watched Earnhardt’s last ride I watched football every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night football. I watched every NFL draft, etc. I watched Sportscenter every day for hours and hours like it was on repeat. All these years and I had no idea Amad Rashad played in the NFL until I watched this UA-cam Video at 5:00 in the morning. Wow
The play maybe the second most important hail mary as the first is the first. That season could be completely different if failed mary didn't happen. The packer would also have to complain about how bad the packers have been instead of this play for the pass couple of years.
Here's how I would rearrange 3-7: 7: Fail Mary, 6: Hakeem Nicks' catch 5: Randall Cobb's back of the end zone catch 4: Jeff Janis' two Hail Marys 3: Richard Rodgers' catch in Detroit. Also, I would rank the Kramer to Rashad at no 1. with the "Original" at no. 2.
The Plays out of 10. 10. The Analysis on the plays. 1. And only because they are talking about the plays. Such great insights as;'thats not humanly possible' when its quite clearly been done by a human. Thanks NFL Films for your collective spitting on Steve Sabol's life work.
Rodgers, after the miracle in motown, runs almost exactly the same as Favre throwing that TD is the SB. Hits the three major poses, helmet up hand up, both hands up, fist AND fingers up. Brings a tear to my eye lol
Before there was any ruling on the play, in real time the announcer for the game actually say it was a 'simultaneous catch' and the real question is does Tate have his hands on the ball before the defender establishes possession, not just in the air while holding the ball.
Jeff yeah but you can’t tell me he caught it one handed like that 😂 it basically was Jennings cradle that helped Tate look like he did but he never did. You can see Tate’s right arm come off the balls to try to grab it..definitely not a catch.
The forgotten moment in the Favre one: just before the "hail mary", he made a horrible throw right into the chest of a DB for what should have been a game losing interception, but the defender dropped it.
Roger Staubach as the #1 Hail Mary is the right choice. Before that moment, nobody called it a Hail Mary as it was just viewed as a last ditch effort play. When Roger Staubach called it a Hail Mary, the rest is history and that is why ever since then we call it a Hail Mary.
It is what it is. The play by Roger Staubach is #1 for a reason why we call it a Hail Ol' Mary play because of what he said in a post game interview. Nobody ever called it a Hail Ol' Mary play before that but since that play by Roger Staubach, the words Hail Ol' Mary was born and the rest is history. Sometimes the Football Gods play a hand in these situations.
The only kind of pass Rogers hasn't tried is blind folded but before he retires he just might attempt and complete a pass blind folded while getting hit.
That throw from Aaron is absolutely stellar and incredible. If you lay that ball out straight from the point that he launches it to include hight and arc, it easily covers 100+ yards. 30+ yards up in the air and then the drop from mid air at 70 + yrds. Then you look at Aaron Rodgers Right biceps muscle. He's basically got nothing more than a high school senior it looks like. And what's incredible, is he does it again and again to prove he wasn't just lucky on that first throw.
Rodgers doesn't lift weights...but he's big on Yoga and all that other weird stuff--which keeps his arm/shoulders/core/legs strong and loose....two traits absolutely essential for throwing.
@@rayseva1278 Definitely helps. Technique is better than size from weights when it comes to passing. Look at all the long passes, Bradshaw, Farve, Marino, Elway. Hell, Elway tore his Biceps tendon totally off and he said he could throw easier than before and he joked that his arm looks like a 9th grade girl. 😀
From the production meeting at NFL Films, "I've got a great idea! Instead of getting a bunch of football people to comment with knowledge and insight of the game we'll get a bunch of comedians and actors to make inane comments. What do you think guys? Let's do it!"
This is a terrible list. Of the three Rodgers Hail Marys (so ridiculous to say there have been three), the one versus the Giants should be last. Yes it was outdoors, but who else in history could've made even made the throw against the Cardinals? Falling backwards to his left he threw it sixty yards with pressure in his face. Just silly. And against the Lions, there are a few guys who could throw it 70 yards for sure, but that high? Nah. Eli's was OK, but it was about a 45-yard pass that was thrown into an area where the Giants actually outmanned the Packers 3 to 2 (thanks a lot Dom Capers).
Justin Ritzel I think they were going by significance, that’s why they put Eli’s so high. Considering they were 15-1 and we were 9-7 and nobody thought we had a shot at beating them, it was pretty amazing. There were far more impressive plays like Rodgers against the cardinals, but it kinda lost significance cause they ended up losing that game.
Lol a goat. Geez, i dislike pretty much all packer fans. You guys are just so delusional. The dude is not that fleet footed and he runs far too often, which is why he ends up hurt every season. at least they got the number one right, i remember watching that came realizing yet again that roger Staubach could stink up the place for three quarters and then go other worldly for the 4th quarter and pull out a win. He was without a doubt the greatest comeback quarterback of all time
In my opinion, Drew Pearson pushing off his defender makes it even more appropriate as the #1 play on this list and the original Hail Mary pass. He is, after all, a "sinner" for committing that penalty, tying it back to the prayer.
I remember Tim Couch's "Hail Mary" very well. The Saints, on their previous drive hiked the ball with 20-30 seconds left on the play clock for 4-5 downs in a row. Result: the Brownies were left with just time for Couch to lead the Browns to within his throwing range. Poor clock management.

@@weirdboo It was a last chance because the game was over as time would have experience. There was no chance the Ravens would have even scored if it came to 4th down.

Imagine having Brett Favre from 1992 to 2007 and then having Aaron Rodgers from 2008 to 2020(so far) a combined total of 28 years and only winning 2 superbowls, the Packers wasted 2 top 10 potentially top 5 Qbs careers.
Failmary make me triggered again.
Same 😑😤🤬
I’m twitching just thinking about it
Naw I’m a lions fan I enjoyed that
At least they got #1 right. Staubach to Pearson. TD!! I was watching that game. Remember it so vividly...
Where is The Mile High Miracle, the play led to the Ravens winning the Super Bowl
I would argue that was a long pass, not a hail Mary, because it was to 1 specific target.
kbushfm So was both of Rodgers' passes to Janis
Kyrin Chase no janis had people around him both plays
GoPackGo #AR12#DA17#TM88#JN87
But they were to one specific person. There were only Cardinals around him, especially the second one. So was Staubach's Hail Mary. Flacco to Jones was no different
Kyrin Chase exactly so its still a hail mary
The thing about the fail mary is that they asked the regular refs the next week about it and they said it was a good call
Who say Shango at 27:35? Big ups if you know who Shango is.
Shango the king ;)
the shirt at 2:22 is fuccing awesome
Joe Flacco to Jacoby Jones against Denver??
Yea no idea why that wouldn't be on this list? A playoff game, for overtime, led to a super bowl victory! But yes lets put these mid season plays in here that makes sense!
That deadass could be 1 or 2. I totally forgot about that play until reading this but yes that should totally be on the list.
The "original" hail mary is the greatest pass of all time
I feel like they're giving the quarterbacks WAY to much credit for the end-zone hail mary's.......
I mean, as long as you can throw it that far, and in a general direction of the intended receivers (WHO ARE JUMPING AND FIGHTING FOR THE BALL) , ......... You're good. :-P
Watching Ditka chewing his gum : totally worth it ! --------NO NFL H/C ever chewed gum like Ditka !! ---------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
Until The Rams won last season on THE worst Non-call ever in sports history, the " Fail-Mary" was THE worst, ever, call. ------------The Saints getting robbed-----clearly------is still, unthinkable. --------And, I'm a Broncos Fan. ------------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
Shango!!!
Shango!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dallascowboys559 shango!!!!
Shango!!!
Max is on this omg yes!!!
Motown Miracle was an amazing play. But that facemask call was BS.
And the hail mary was even more BS
I enjoyed chriss simms talking about elis arm strength 😂😂😂😂😂
Should of went for 2 against the Cardinals...js!
yep.
The original HAIL MARY , coined by Roger Staubach!!! #1 MOST DEFINITELY!!!
No. 3 should not even be on the list
Because it was an intersaption
"who cares, unless you're a Vikings fan."
Me: *a Vikings fan* yessssssssssssssssssssss
Stop interviewing actors, comedians, etc., with their inane unfunny comments. I just fast forward through that sh*t. More players, writers, and broadcasters please.
Aaron Rodgers had some absolutely insane HMs
But Roger Staubach had the 1st, the Original and the Best one!
A.J. Green??????
