I’m loving this series, the Characters and Writing is excellent; so many great-books are made unbeatable by a bad Reader, so I especially appreciate finding an excellent book/series that also beautifully Read/Performed! Thank-You so much for choosing and uploading great audiobooks!!!
Oh, what an excellent story; I thoroughly enjoyed that!!! Lavender and Woods are such likeable Characters, along with Inspector Alleyn and his ‘Brer Fox’ - they’re one of My favourite male (literary) crime-fighting duos; the inclusion of Albie and that story made Woods’ part in this book especially interesting. Can’t fully express how much I enjoy hearing the Authors Notes on each book at the end. I’m also passionate about Historical Fiction, and I love that She’s chose to flesh-out historical Characters for her series; it’s a joy to hear the idea/planning/writing-process, I can’t imagine many scenarios that I’d like to live-out more than what she describes of the writing experience of this book in-particular. Thank-You so much for uploading gems like this, they bring Me so much joy!
Thank you, again, for making this audible version of these wonderful Lavender mysteries. I would not have been able to read them and enjoy the story to the fullest, had I to take it in word for word in writing. 🎉🎉
I’d never heard the term ‘Ladybird’ used as a pseudonym for Harlot before these books; if it was a widely-used term, I cringe at what the British must have thought of U.S. First-Lady Ladybird Johnson! 😆😂😄 I like the name Ladybird (forerunner of Ladybug); it’s sweet.
I throughly enjoyed this book, well written and beautifully narrated by Michael Page. I was, however, a little confused. Didn't Donverse die in the episode when Lavender first met Lady Caroline? And in that same episode didn't Duddle ran off and marry the second lady Donverse? So how was Duddle happen to be present and with Lady Caroline in this book?
Fabulous! Thank you.
Love this Narrator.
