And there's been plenty more in the b league in the past as well. Yuki isn't getting signed because he's undersized and too much of defensive liability, and he doesn't have the shooting or finishing ability to compensate for it. Look at all the other NBA undersized NBA players that are or have been in the league. They could all shoot lights out, could play heavy defense, could finish, pass on par with the best NBA players, had extremely high verticals and incredible speed. And, in many cases, it's still not enough because being undersized still makes you a liability. Yuki only has one of those things. To be in the NBA, at that height you cannot have any weaknesses, and you must be at the elite tier on par with the best NBA players at every skill. There is no room for weaknesses. Yuki doesn't have that. He has plenty of weaknesses. The NBA has extremely detailed statistical models and analyses that can determine down to a T of he will be a net positive for the team. Yuki doesn't have the efficient stats to back it up. There's plenty of under 6 foot guys km the NBA b league that are currently way better than yuki, and they still don't get called up. Pierre Jackson has like a 45+ inch vertical, was faster than yuki, a better ball handler, shooter, and finisher than Yuki, and he has the b league record for most points in a game, and still barely got a call up and then was sent to go play overseas. There's tons of NBA players, NBA b league players, overseas pros, and D1 players under 6 ft. that are better than Yuki who will likely never get a call up. Yuki was given an opportunity most players better than him at similar heights don't get. His Olympic performance gave him the opportunity, but he hasn't been able to produce at the NBA level. Compare him to someone Luke marquis nowell or jj barea, who are currently playing in the NBA and at similar heights to that of Yuki, and the gap in overall skill is massive. He's just not good enough and hasn't produced enough for a team to justify signing him.
