First heard this in 1987 in my cousin's record collection. Truly among the most beautiful music I've ever heard, and it's haunted me all these years. Thank you for the upload
The remastered version removing the reverb drains the magic out of it. The original caught lightening in a bottle. When I heard this version, I was just so sad.
I prefer this because it's less processed and more authentic to what was recorded. Either way this is a beautiful masterpiece and should be held up as one of the world's finest musical achievements.
audioship is a good alternative for uploading audio. put in audio file, upload image cover, it will put it up in whatever resolution the cover is. although if you're uploading more than 1 hr of audio you have to pay for more time (10hours -> 10 usd) which i think if you're uploading a good deal of music is worth it

Is this remastered? Then they surely did a poor job. The original (the one I have on CD) one sounds much better even in terms of production.
Thanks for uploading this. Shame it's so hard to find! Lovely music.
Does anyone know where I can listen to the original version? This is the remastered one
definitely love this

It doesn't make you cool or interesting to compare this to Vampire Weekend. Sure, they're influenced by Mande. Bands have influences. Jesus.
Can Vampire Weekend at least try to be a bit more subtle? Their style is literally a carbon copy of this.
Vampire Weekend stole this whole vibe.
