- Nebensatz und Hauptsatz (main clause and subordinate clause) in German language uses Konnektoren e.g. "weil" to connect hauptsatz with the nebensatz. Hauptsatz in German language is called main clause and nebensatz in German language is called subordinate clause. There are different connectors (Konnektoren) which are used to connect main clause of the sentence with the subordinate clause of the sentence in German language. One such connector is "weil". This connector is used to describe reason in the subordinate clause.
In this case main cluase in German language describe a fact and subordinate clasue explains the reasons of the fact. There is a possibility to start the sentence with main clause and then comes a comma, after a comma a space is used and then we start the subordinate clause that starts with "weil" and explains the reason behind the fact explained in the main clause.
The sentence structure of main clause will remain the same as we have learned so far. This means the sentence structure for main clause will be following.
1. position is for the subject of the sentence
2. position is for the verb, which is conjugated according to the subject of sentence
3. Object, preposition, adjectives etc.
The sentence structure of subordinate clause will be different from the sentence structure of main clause and will start with the connector "weil" which will be followed by the subject, followed by object, preposition or adjective. The main verb of the sentence in subordinate clause will come at the last position of the sentence and will be conjugated according to the subject of the sentence.
