I'm sure they will grow on me overtime.. But 47-50K for an SR5 and 60K for a TRDOR in my area (w/dealer mark up) is a massive no for me.. Also seeing the new ZR2 from a rear angle the Tacoma seems somewhat similar. Also the switches in the center remind me if the old school cassette radios.. May get one next year.. for now I'll stick with my 3rd gen TRD OR
They should not have made it look like a baby Tundra. Two separate and totally two different trucks. I owned a 2017 taco. Loved the design. Was not crazy that they took away from the back seat area in the new model. The screen looks cheap to me. I just bought a new Tundra and super happy about that design and inside layout. No disappointment with the back seats as I purchased a crew max. Nothing but room back there.

Things that I would have love to see that the tailgate would be the same for all models {push button}, the rear window with the small window also standard. Things that I noticed that they have not change the way to open the hood and the bar to keep it up. The mirror also not upgraded to Homelink. Not sure if the side mirrors came with a turn signal or not. Tires and rims look the same as previews models. I understand is just a basic SR5 but for the price of over 38,000, even though you got a good deal it seems pricey. I do love the color, the new audio system, not a fan of the back seats I prefer the old style. Congrats on the new truck and hopefully once you start adding mods to it it will look more amazing.
The usb on the screen is for passengers to quickly enable CarPlay on their phone tethered instead of waiting to initialize a Bluetooth connection which usually take a few and requires the vehicle is stopped and in park. Very convenient for when passengers want to navigate or DJ.

congrats on your new truck! I have an 05 double cab and compared to this one, I wonder why the new one lost so much space it seems. i.e. the space behind the back seats, underfloor doesnt have the covers anymore, maybe the seat angle changed? Cant really tell...Congrats again on your truck man!

No, those are static, you can’t change them. The higher trim levels offer full digital screen with more customization
If I were to upgrade from my sr5 2022 to a 4th gen. I would have to get it with the big infotainment display and jbl speaker

I'm used to the TRD Off Road and I've gotta say, this looks so cheap. I hope they didn't cheapen the TRD as much as they cheapen this model.
