I’m not smart enough to understand which political viewpoint endowed us with it but I know it was before “China” or “social justice” were household words. (All my toys were still imprinted w/ Hong Kong [🇬🇧] or Taiwan.)
I remember these from my childhood. My mom used to work at Hills before it became Ames. I loved the free popcorn they gave away and the cherry Icees, too. I also remember my mom buying my Super Nintendo there when I was 9.
Loved Hills. My grandmother retired from there. I actually got to meet this “elf” one Christmas there in Fairmont WV. The woman who played the elf was very sweet and was signing autographs in full costume one year at Christmas.
