levimissy11 Our secret to happiness lies in our faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. To have scriptures to read and an awesome church family that we enjoy being around has changed our life. Easier said than done I realize but you could start with prayer:)

A man should help you out period! If he loves and cares for you enough and wants to keep his woman and household peaceful and happy, he will realize she can't do everything! It's a "team" 50/50 effort.... He should WANT to help you. That's sucks honey, I'm sorry

have you heard of 30 day gourmet? It is a book and they also have a website . I started using the book to learn how to do freezer meals. They have awesome worksheets and everything to keep you organized and allow you to use what you already have in your house versus buying stuff that you already have but don't realize it. It's really great and something I need with my ADHD adult personality. Ha ha my husband and I also did the Dave Ramsey plan and we got completely debt-free except for our house. It was great!

When browning meat I use a mashed potato smasher. It is so easy that way. Do you have a slicer dicer for onions and things. Just put your onion in and start pushing down on it to cut your onion or dice it. You have done an awesome job on this. I don't think I could do this on the magnitude! My problem is if I am cooking something to freeze, I want to eat it now! LOL Great going!

Btw, if you use a wire style potato masher to break apart your ground meat, it is WAY easier. Also great for shredding chicken if you don't have a stand mixer to shred with.

i dont know if this would be easier for you, you can use the raw beans instead of the can beans, just use your crock pot to cook them. it would save you some money too and its fresh.

New to your channel, into crock pot meals lately and looking for easy ways to have plenty of food without buying a possibly unhealthy meal for my family from the store. Going to give this a try. My family, like yours, can make a meal that size last a couple days. Also a mother of two so very busy during the day and dont usually feel like putting something together or cooking. So the crock pot is the ideal thing.

Well it is now 2017 and I have only now got an opportunity to watch your video. What an amazing feat. I hope that all had gone well for you and your family, reaching your goal. I am in South Africa and am currently requiring to be budget-wise. You have inspired me and I love the idea of your meals. I will start right away and will let you know how it goes on my end. Keep your fingers crossed as I have my mom living with me and she loves cooking her old way. Lots of expensive ingredients and loads of entertainment. This way I can whip out a meal that has been prepared ahead and beat her to the expense. Thank you for your inspiration.

This will be a great idea to do the last month of your pregnancy so that when you come home from the hospital and are recovering and getting your baby on a feeding/sleeping schedule...your family will still be able to eat healthy. I did a modified version of this for my son the week before mommy went on the Hormone Diet...cause he can't eat a lot of the diet recipes. Great tip...thanks :)

How did your family like the meals? I did this one month only to find my husband and kiddos didn't like the meals as they were really mushy vegetables by the time they finished cooking. But I'd love to try again someday. Maybe I'll have to try the recipes you linked to! We've also been eating a lot more raw foods and that has helped our budget and our health too!

Ok love the idea! Def would love to try! But where in the world do they fit. We have a standard refrigerator in our apartment. Do you have a extra freezer somewhere? Because there is no way that would fit. Maybe I could fit ten bags along with my other freezer foods. You two are wonderful together I love that you are both supportive of the each other plans to become debt free.

Believe it or not, a lot of frozen vegetables are HEALTHIER and better for you than fresh!!! Unless you get in season produce from a local farm, vegetables don't even make it to the grocery store for an entire MONTH sometimes after being picked (some fruits and veggies come from different countries too) which means they've lost quite a bit of nutritional value. Where as frozen fruits and veggies are picked, rinsed, frozen and packaged all right away, keeping all the vitamins and minerals locked in. So, good job! :) now canned stuff is the worst. Almost no nutritional value and packed full of sugar/salt.

I know this is an old video now, but I'm confused... I thought 29 days was a months worth of meals, but you said 2 months. So basically each one of those bags was two nights of meals? Which means 1/2 of a 1 gallon baggy worth of food is supposed to feed a big full grown man, a woman AND two kids? did I miss something?
