At 41, I've not had an album that means more to me, and I'm a musician. I can name a ton that mean a lot, but this one is my lonely island. Masterpiece.
This is one of my favourite tracks in Superunknown, and might honestly be one of my favourite songs in the entire alternative rock scene from the 90s. Man, how I wish I saw Soundgarden live.
I bought “Superunknown” the day it came out on cassette & it didn’t leave my tape deck for probably 6 weeks….now mind you at that time Chris Cornell had already played a major part in 2 of the best records ever made (“Badmotorfinger” & “Temple of the Dog”) it was released fresh on the heels of Kurt Cobain’s suicide so there were all sorts of unintended meanings being put upon these songs…the 90’s were rough at times but such is life…I feel extremely privileged to be a music lover in my 20’s in the 90’s (I was born in 71) 🥶🖤
one of their most underrated songs. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, it's Soundgarden who outshines them all. But Kudos to Matt, big egos in the band. Matt is holding them together, one of the best drummers in the world.
Thank you so much for filming this Kristy !!! Chris saw this shit coming ...i never saw them live and this helps heal some wounds !! Great gig...great filming !! Xx RIP CHRIS
Nice little Zeppeliny groove on this one. Cameron's got the tempos nailed on these tunes. Too bad he doesn't play the Ayottes anymore... at least he got Yamaha going with their woodhoop snares.
Soundgarden picked up where Led Zeppelin left off. The synchronicity, bravery to pull off different time signatures, the vocals, the riffs, the lyrics, the cohesion, the melodies. This is rock and roll at its finest. Fuck the term "grunge." What absolute asinine bullshit. This is real rock and roll, at the highest degree. No other band can pull off what they did.
I finally understand why their performances are so far from studio sound and that's clearly because Chris insists on playing guitar instead of focusing on singing. One would expect the production to address it and politely ask Chris not to play guitar even though he was very talented also as a guitarist. May his troubled soul find peace 🙏 what a huge loss 😢
Insanely underplayed, one of the best tracks on one of the greatest rock albums of all time
100% agree
Hell yes mate !! Indeed
My all time favourite. I was at this gig and it was awesome. Didn't know...

Amen brother
It's 2024, and this song still gives me goosebumps!
Absolutely
And a flawless performance.
This is one of my favourite tracks in Superunknown, and might honestly be one of my favourite songs in the entire alternative rock scene from the 90s. Man, how I wish I saw Soundgarden live.
I saw them live, when I wasn't into them. How disappointed I am with past me.
This video needs a spotlight on Cameron... his work on this song is amazing.
Well, he did write it😬
Kim Thayil is an awesome guitar player.
Yes man, speak that into recognition. Thayil fucking rocks out
So underrated
He is a fucking genius!
Love how unconventional his approach is. Always plays such interesting counterpoints to accompany the main riffs
He wrote this song
My favourite Soundgarden song !! Wish I could have seen them again 😢
Mine too!!
My favorite as well, but I never got to see them ☹
Not probably
Ben rippin the bass apart, spot on
Top 3 favorite Soundgarden songs. Ben Shepherd is an animal especially on this song!! Ben is such an underrated bass monster!!
Exactly 10 years and 10 days ago. The world still had this great human being walking its paths and singing immortal hymns.
The best Soundgarden's song. Ever.
One of the most underrated songs by one of the most underrated bands!!
This bass line...

Finally a live version, not sure how I missed this, sounds almost like the record 😎
Favorite Soundgarden song
What a killer song. The bass line rocks in this song.
The song that started my SG-addiction.
That sounds very nice!!!
Sickest chorus in this song!
I was there. Nearly cried. OK, I did...
God damn I miss Chris and Soundgarden, such a powerful moving band.

Sooooo gooooooooddd!!!!! Chris Cornell 4 ever!🔥🔥
The BEST forever and a Day!!!
All the tracks at the end of this album are the best...real Soundgarden lovers knew Side B was a master piece.
Omg beautiful and awesome king ♥️✨💫
Matt's back!!!!!!!!! I also am suprised- in a good way- yes- other drummer was outstanding but it wasnt SG. THIS IS SG!
Nothing like a hearty, deep, rich, carnal Satanic riff. Reign In Power Soundgarden !
I saw them on this tour but I was totally drunk and stoned. Must have been one of the best concerts of my life, as far as I can tell... 😅

Everybody wants a little bit of Chris, always more than they can take
miss you so much

Wish he would have made it ;(
If looks could kill: 2:08
Throw yourself away. Give me little bits of, more than I can take.
Matt Cameron’s a beast
ETERNAL
So good, Oh yes
Fun fact - the van helsing series has a whole season named after a Soundgarden song
RIP Chris...
Cornell Audioslave voice! I love how he bled for me!
Such a massive fucking band. Talk about sum of their parts. They each bring individual briliance to this band and as a whole....Fuck were they good.
"If it sits upon you're tounge or naked in your eye" thats fuckin deep!!!
The lyrics are genius
Matt Cameron classic but I miss him so much 😢
SOM PA CARALHO
Woooooooooooowwwwww
The Bass on this song is insane. Paul McCartney would love Bens work :)
Love this song. Love soungarden.. but I don't think they ever did it justice live.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I wished he put the guitar down and focused on his Vocals, but still amazing
what happened to him,
What a shame Chris is gone. Damn shame
