How can we determine what is considered a loud noise for guinea pigs? We could use a standard similar to that used for human infants. If a noise bothers an infant, it is likely to also bother guinea pigs.
Guinea pigs may express severe protest through long hootings and low teeth chatterings.
However, fully grown guinea pigs have adaptable capacity. If a loud sound is not an ongoing background, guinea pigs can get used to it and even try to understand it, such as the sound of a garage door slamming close. Family noise that occurs in daily life, such as talking, laughing, and dishes clinking, would become something guinea pigs would learn to cope with. These sounds also allow guinea pigs to learn about what their owners are doing and how they feel.
Exposure to constant loud noises could lead to symptoms of depression and digestion issues in guinea pigs. Creating a joyful and enjoyable sound environment for guinea pigs can help keep them healthy and happy!

Vous vivez tous en harmonie les uns avec les autres ; tes filles se sentent en sécurité car elles se sentent aimées et respectées, et ce sont des bruits habituels pour elles. 🎸 Et il y a bien pire que le son d'une guitare 😊. Je trouve génial que l'un de tes fils soit musicien 😃 Il est très important de pouvoir exprimer ses émotions à travers la musique, le chant et/ou la danse 🩰💃🕺. En revanche, il y a des bruits très agressifs pour ces petits êtres sensibles tels que les pétards 🧨🧨. Le jour de l'an, mon premier "bébé" Ploum était tellement effrayé 😢 que je l'ai pris avec moi pour le rassurer, et il a dormi toute la nuit près de moi ce petit bonhomme 🥰. Merci mon amie pour ce joli partage. Passe un excellent dimanche 🙏❤️🌹🌞🍀💐

Oh, you're right! Fireworks are a staple of holidays! I also remember when I was little, during major holidays, all the neighborhood children would play with different types of small fireworks right next door. Meanwhile, there were also city fireworks shows in the air. My pets, Black Ear and Brown Hair, were very scared and spent the night hiding in my comforter.
You took care of Ploum all night, letting him sleep next to you! How cute! It was a wonderful experience for us, but the loud noises terrified the piggies! 😂
