- The UGC-NET has become the first centrally-conducted public examination to be scrapped after the Centre introduced a new anti-paper leak law. Incapable ministry... Both state and central education dept need revamps... They should be accountable to students and the Nation.
In 2018, UGC announced mandatory PhD for recruitment of Asst. Professors in Universities and suddenly in 2023 the UGC drops the requirement of the mandatory PhD. Why this?
For such decision, many candidates diverted their study goals by opting out from PhD and engage in others tasks.
Why so frequent changes????
Anothers thing is that,
for recruitment to teaching posts, candidates having a PhD has an additional mark benefit of about 10-13 marks. But PhD is a part of research. Teaching Jobs should not be mixed with Research because this reduces the quality.
I would like to request UGC that the mark of PhD(13 marks) for recruitment to teaching posts(Asst. Professor) in colleges and universities must be withdrawn as soon as possible.
