Mike seems like such a lovely and genuine guy, compared to alot of those people that come in and check stuff out

That's because he's Japanese, that culture knows about honor and honesty
But the show is fake
He's my second favorite expert, right being Rebecca.
Rick is cheaper than a plastic penny
I like the way Chumlee talks to the customers. He’s got a gentle touch and sweet smile.

Restoration usually takes a while so it may not have even been completed yet tbh

Chum has such a knack for relating well w his customers and leaving them w a good feeling, even when he's a bandito! Love how he has grown so well w the show. Chum is my new fav pawn star!

They could put it in a slow dryer to remove the glue little by little and pull out the peg wood then look at signatures without damaging it

There are many glue removers nowadays. Besides the Japanese restorer guy once restored a Samurai and replaced the whole handle before.

@@benchattin well fr what we see in the show they just "call a buddy" which doesn't mean they aren't paying them(the shop not the show), so it's not like their obligated to give the most accurate estimate. Plus, if Rick lowballs 99.99% of his customers/sellers, then why wouldn't the "experts" do the same. Imo
