Hey bro Remember the inventory system u made? Well i successfully made a saving system for it but the thing is Let's say you have a foot item Once u eat it it's gone, right? well, how can i make it so it updates the Hotbar because the image of the food stays there (and i also wanna say thank you so much for all the tutorials u have made!) you fr helped so many people out and made so many creative games possible thank you so much!
Thank you a lot for the support! I haven't been making a whole lot of videos lately mostly just because I've been busy with my senior year of high school, but it makes me happy to find people still watching my videos. Anyway, so you're saying that after the tool is removed it doesn't go away in the hotbar? You could try adding a connection every time a tool is added to the hotbar like so: tool.Destroying:Connect(function() -- this is where you would set the hotbar table to be empty for that slot end)
@@Knineteen19 i did it but it deletes and appears right after. the tool is gone but the image is still on I dont know if im doing something wrong but could u tell me where to write it and how exactly? thank you so much!
@@jtxdgamer455 I played around with it a bit earlier and I noticed that, even if the tool is completely destroyed, if you unequip and re-equip it it suddenly reappears in your inventory, despite having been destroyed. I have no idea why that happens, but I think if you can remove the tool from the hotbarItems table after it's destroyed it and then just update the hotbar UI it should probably be fine. Only problem is actually doing that, which is difficult largely because of how the inventory is set up, where it refreshes every so often and deletes and recreates every item every time it does so. In other words, I'm not actually sure what a good solution would be off the top of my head, but you might be able to figure it out if you just play with it for a while and figure out what exactly is causing it to act the way it's acting.
@@Knineteen19 ill do my best even tho im afraid of destroying the script. if it doesn't work ill just wait for u to upload more on the series. I know you got stress of school and stuff and i really respect that so take all the time you need bro
@@jtxdgamer455 Thanks for the support! If you want, too, you can save a copy of the studio place to your desktop, or even revert versions later on even if you haven't saved a backup ahead of time. I have thought about making more inventory videos though, so I may be able to eventually help you out on that regard. We'll see how it turns out.
