Our first stop is Santa Cruz, where we learn from legend Bob Pearson about the first surfers to ever surf on the mainland US. A crazy story about 3 Hawaiian princes who helped pioneer the sport in CA.

Santa Cruz has so much to offer year round its been a magnet for me. I live about 12min from Scott's Valley over the hwy 17 hump. Santa Cruz has awesome waves, coves, the town has an endless amount of ridiculous hills to shred on downhill, the redwoods are amazing. Backroad hunting, mt biking, fishing, hiking, tons of natural spring pools to venture out and find just be careful with wild boars, mt lions, poison oak & packs of bobcats those are the worst.
It’s super interesting to discover the surf culture and the know-how of the board manufacturer, I grew up on the Atlantic coast and I had never seen how surfboards were made, thank you 🙏

Was so stoked to watch and was not disappointed! Surfing here started with Hawaiian Princes?!?! Did not know about the redwoods in Santa Cruz! Also gotta give credit to the filming and editing! And the host is pretty cool too... 😅
