My 2014 530d F11 whistles on acceleration from around 2000 to 3000 rpm. No issues on performance, is it perfectly normal for owners to hear this sound?
The most relatable diesel sound up to around 2000-2500rpm due to HGVs buses etc mostly having 6 cylinder diesels just not as loud as it’s a much smaller engine compared to those. My Grandad has the 35d version of this engine in the 4 Series and to me it sounds quieter than the N47 he previously had in a 1 Series despite it having 2 cylinders more.
@@dieselbuddysatgeisslertran777 Once I drove a W204 C350 CDI, when you pushed it hard you heard the turbowhistle inside. I like Turbo spooling. Specially the VTG- Diesel Turbos. ^^
I had an F11 from 2010 wasnt that noisy with 300.000kms..when i bought an F11 from 2016 with 80.000 kms, it had the same sound as the video, i asked the mechanic, they said its normal...this is how it is...
Nice one mate :) I got a bit confused - it is a single turbo or twin turbo? I have f30 B57 258hp and I am sure that I have only one turbo. I obviously saw the twin turbo power sigh but that still proves nothing.
@@advanqamili Ob der eine ein r6 oder v6 ist, ist egal. Ich habe beide gehört und ähnlich klingen sie. Wenn du einen richtigen Unterschied hören willst, kannst du dir mal den om606 anhören. Ein r6 mit oder ohne Turbo.

I've got a 435d which has the same engine just a higher power output, sounds very similar although i think the turbos are louder on mine

...it is the same engine;)
For example If BMW with 30d like 530d, X5 30d, 330d, 730Ld and more with 30d badge, that's all same engine.

Das selbe hört man auch bei den Motoren om606 und om642 von Mercedes. Ist eigentlich normal.

All bmw enhines from 2011 are 1 turbo that has 2 scrolls inside 1 bigger 1 smaller and it acts almost same as 1 big and 1 small turbo

Die Dinger halten auch gute 200tkm aus und hören sich an wie neu. Letzens mal einen mit 150tkm gefahren, hörte sich an wie ein neuer Motor. ^^

I think that the sound is absoltely normal!
It's normal it's the sound of the turbo releasing the pressure after letting off the throttle
