hey SPOKANE WA :) fantastic video, just got this NX500 today through a Samsung Promotion. Barely played with it but very impressed. Low light versus my ole Canon 7d or Panasonic Lumix ZS19 pocket camera is nuts!!! AWESOME review, thank you.

Great review Max. You converted me to a subscriber after your Tascam DR-44WL and Zoom H5 videos. I really love the fact that you go in-depth in your reviews and don't just rush out short five minute tech videos. Keep up the great work. I read some reviews that suggested the LX100 was a better option for recording 4k, but your review has made me rethink whether that is indeed the case. The touchscreen and menu system looks great. As does the flip out screen. Only thing missing is an external microphone port. Not a major problem at home, but it would be great for vlogging outdoors as it would allow me to attach a shotgun microphone or lav mic to reduce wind noise. Granted, I can do this using something like the H1, but if I am vlogging I do not want to be messing around with things like that. Can you please please please shoot something which shows live remote view and control of video in low light. that's 100% specifically what I'm looking for, for my live band recordings. The sony action cameras and GoPro Heroes etc have the connectivity & control, but don't have light/exposure control or zoom capabilities.
The best 'unknown' camera. Badly overlooked - those of us who've been lucky enough to find it have kit that outperforms the majority. A shame Samsung has not made of their camera gear, they've nothing to learn from the likes of Canon nor Nikon. Talk, of course, is cheap so go to the main NX500 group in Flickr and see some samples.
Hey Max, I have a question about NX1. I sold my GH4 (needed af for vlogs), and I decided to take the plunge on a NX1. Where can you find aftermarket batteries? I loved Wasabi $29 two pack batteries for Canon, Sony, and even Panasonic cameras. I don't see any for NX1. In fact, I haven't seen any aftermarket batteries on Amazon. :/. I want to have a few so on the off chance the OEM battery dies I can still use the camera :/. Great video btw.
I'm stuck! I have this camera and the Auto self shot doesn't work. Supposedly when you flip the screen it would turn the picture so you could see it but when I do this, the picture does not rotate. Any ideas why? I had replaced the screen with the same from the company but I can't understand why that doesn't work. I made sure the contacts all fit well. I'm a bit lost, if anyone truly understands or has some idea can you let me know? Thank you!
Looks like a re-hash of the Sony A5100 or even the NEX 5R, but with a better sensor (same as on the NX1) and other upgraded amenities, Nice! KUDOS SAMSUNG!!
Does the hotshoe support an EVF? I don't mean whether Samsung has produced one for it but whether the hotshoe is prepared for one? That would really be cool, if one could get an EVF in the future.
Bent Rasmussen Hi Bent, I honestly don't know. I would join our NX500 user group tinyurl.com/NX500GROUP and ask there. We have a lot of active members that use this camera in different ways.
Wanted to ask if you had a chance to use the 85mm prime f1.4 lens on either the nx1 or nx500? I bought the 16-50mm s lens alreadyand looking at the 85mm as my next purchase . Great in depth videos.
thanks! yes I did use it. it's not at the same level as the S lenses. AF is much slower and less accurate. It's not usable for sport or weddings but insurable for controlled shoots. it's also not very sharp at F1.4 I ended up shooting it at f2. If you can get one for under $500 it's worth it but not for the asking price. I decided to stick with my 45 1.8 which is faster/more accurate af and sharper wide open at f1.8 compared to the 85 stopped down to f2.
Hi Max, I'm very happy with the review. I bought an NX500 last week but there's something that disappointed me with the kit-lens. That is the sound the motor makes zooming in and out. Is it only me or do you have the same issue? how do you get around that problem?. I'm about to send that camera back just because of that. I own a GH4 and lenses I was thinking to maybe go for GM1 and use my lenses with that. What would you do? I appreciate your answer
Hi from France, Do you have the fish eye lens from Samsung F10ANW (quite expensive) bcz I'm asking how is look like 4K + this FE lens ? Do you know if there is other FE lens (less expensive than the official one) ? Do you knwo if there is some shock/dust water protection avaible for a NX500 ? Many Thx in advance, great vid !

Nice review Max. Where can I download the sample footage? Thx
What kind of card do you recommend for 4k video with the newest update firmware (more frame rate)? And how time will i record with a 32 gb card? And about raw files? Should i need a 64gb? Is there any different between an SD and a micro SD with adaptor?
No difference if speed rating is the same. A good quality Class 10 should do the job. In my experience Samsung cameras are the least picky on SD cards I've used. You should get about 2 hours on a 64gb card
Max, great great video. Probably the best video I've seen on the NX500. I'm still completely not convinced which camera to pick up. Been looking at NX500, FZ1000, G7. Mainly to get into 4k. I like the nx500. I don't mind the lack of mic input (i use the zoom h1), and I don't mind the h265. but I don't know.... :(
I have the NX2000, I don't like the focus the camera does. Keeps trying to stay in focus too often. Is this NX500 good at keeping focus? I mainly want a camera to do video reviews. Is it better to get the Sony AX53 or the Sony RX100 V? Both are around the same price range but the Sony brand does a better job than Samsung seems like
Hi, Max,Great review!Congrats and thanx.I just got the nx500 and am familiarizing with it. Actually it's still charging while I'm educating myself.I'd be grateful to you if you could answer a few questions that I have:1. In one of the UA-cam reviews (The CameraStore TV), the author alleges that at shutter speeds longer than 1/120 the image stabilization system fails and you can get smudged photos. What's your take on that? Is there any truth to that?2. I use Canon 5dm2 and from time to time film cameras like Leica R6 and Contax G1 &G2. Love to do panos but never did sweep panomaras. What would be your recommendations as to how to do this with nx500 -- the settings, things to bear in mind, etc.?3. Saw where to find adapters for 3rd party lenses but could find anything for Contax G. Any ideas?4. Would the nx500 be good for Stock or Microstock?5. Maybe, some of your thoughts on the do's and the dont's for the nx500?Thanx a lot in advance,Serge
+serge duhanov Hey Serge thats a lot of questions and with the amount of inquires I get I can't asnwer them all. As far as shutter speed keep in mind its a really light camera with a high meagapixel count. Thus camera shake is easier to get, and more gets recorder (visible) with higher MP. I'd suggest using O.I.S. lenses with shutter speeds below 1/125 unless your on a tripod. There are some adapters for different leses but they are all manual, so you won't have AF or image stabilization if the lens offers it. If you want a consultation to ask as much q's as u want you can contact me through my site, vist MaxYuryev.com/Consultation
Where can I download the sample footage? Thx the high iso comparison you made shows different results from the ones you said nx500 is worse than nx1 and nx1 is worse than lx100 they are both noisy and soft!
Indraneel Phadke Thanks! No sorry! Maybe with the a7000 if that gets released soon. Too much other vids in the pipeline including 3 that need to be edited at this time.
Very frank and excellent presentation and in the show, I'm really puzzled, my friend, do I take the sony a6000 and I think that disadvantage the screen that do not touch, or am I chose samaung nx500 or nx3000, help me please
+mezoo zoon The sensor in the NX500 is nicer, so is the back screen. If a touchscreen is very important than of course go for the NX500. Both are great cameras, personally I chose the NX500 but you can't go wrong either way.
thiss camera is better in focus than d800 nikon,,, bokeh is impressive.. more sharper and same dynamic range than 5d mark 3 with KIT LENS!!! its dream camera for amateur and pro..
Great video! If you had to buy either this or sony a6000, for general photography, just using kit lens and interest in the image quality and nothing else, what would you buy?
+Vasilis Karaman I would get the NX500. I have used the A6000 for just a bit, but have a Pro photo friend that owned both a6000 and A5100 and sold those when he got the NX500. He quotes better IQ, Dynamic range, and the kit lens is sharper on the NX500.
I enjoyed the review! I bought the NX500 and after waiting about a month it will finally reach here tomorrow. I was wondering though how the crop factor compares to the LX100 when shooting 4K and does the LX100 have the same 15min 4K time limit?
Glad you enjoyed it! I tried to really get my thoughts down in each category and scripted it to keep it efficient so the video is shorter, and it still reached almost 30min. Even then I wish I could have it be more detailed. I guess I'll never be one to pop out 5 min Reviews. The 4k crop factor is a bit more on the nx500 compared to the 4k crop on the LX100 but that's because of the nx500 being much higher MP. They both have 15min time caps in 4K mode. Overall I much prefer the NX500 over the Panasonic. Congrats on your NX500 arriving!
Max Yuryev Funny that you should say that I did a "review" of a GTX 960 graphics card and I had to cut out a lot to make it 7 mins. Since I mostly cater to gamers I cut out a part about this being the first graphics card to support H.265 encoding and decoding. It is just hard to find stuff to display while I am sharing my thoughts, but now with my camera I plan on recording myself and just show me talking in between edits like you style of presenting. Btw, I'd supper appreciate if you could check out my vid and give me some feedback if you don't mind. Also, keep the 30min length...I enjoy the attention to detail. :)
Average Adversary Sure I'll check it out! I actually recent did a test between 6 GPU's . (for video editing) 750ti,960,970,980, R9 285, and R9 290X. Ended up going with a 4GB 960! There will be a video in the future.
Average Adversary You did an awesome job on the video. Very "clean", you articulate everything really well and have a good balance between info and entertainment. You have a very good voice for radio/video as well! I think if you add yourself into the video like you mentioned it will be perfect!
Max Yuryev Thanks so much for the feedback! I used my friend's Nikon D7000 to film that and it was my third time using the camera. Nice camera but kinda outdated when it comes to film options, but I really love the pictures it takes. Looking forward to seeing how the NX500 compares picture wise as well. Will be looking out for that graphics card video!
Max have you completely changed your gear over to Samsung? I have recently sold all my m43 stuff and gone with the A7s, but I like having my lx100 around as a "backpack" camera.
Hi....can I ask something. I got problem with my camera nx500 when I move the video to my laptop. The video only show sound without any picture. when i move into my phone the video can't play porperly too. Can you teach me how to set it? Thanks in advance 😊😊😊
what do u think about just everyday UA-cam videos. I been looking for a camera just cheap and does good with every day UA-cam videos. what do you think?
Nice review! Very complete! I was wondering how long it will take for us to see the comparison between the LX100 and NX500 cameras. I need to buy one or another by next monday for stills and videos of my first child that will arrive soon! What would you buy? Hope to see the comparison soon!
Its already shot just need to edit it which will take about 8 hours but I have a wedding that I need to edit and deliver before I start the edit. As long as you can transcode the h.265 files until software supports it I would choose the NX500 by a long shot. Much better camera overall (in my opinion).
Hey, Thanks for the video. I just bought an nx500. I recorded today in 4k but when I transferred onto my laptop I can't find a program to play it. I also tried several converters but still didn't work. Any suggestions?
Mark C Hey Mark not sure why It didn't work. did you try the ones that I listed in the video? Try handbrake its free works great for me and many others.
Hey Max, thank you for the video. I don't know if you've mentioned it before, but what would you recommend I use to convert the codec of this camera to something that I can edit on sony vegas? Would I also lose quality if I converted?
Hi Kyle, yes I did mention it, there's even a link in the video and a mobile link ;) check my channel for a video called h.265 transcoding. If your settings are correct you shouldn't have any quality loss.
Excellent review Max, can you tell me what would be better and give the best quality for video between the NX500 with the kit lens and 50-200mm and the FZ1000 also which would you say has the best autofocus, thanks..Jules
Max Yuryev Thank you for replying Max you are the only guy I will trust for reviewing cameras as you give an unbiased opinion and give both sides of the track so to speak...Jules
Hi Max, thanks for the throughout review, follow up your good impression I have bought one, however I am getting really waxxy video in FHD video mode where all details are washed out. Do you also notice same issue? I tried turn off Noise reduction, smart range etc... but did not help. May be I am missing something? Cheers Elvin.
Hi Elvin, it could be a mix of things, I would make sure your in the highest quality setting and try a couple different converters/formats. I don't use fhd settings unless I need slow motion, which isn't often. 4k downscaled to 1080p will always look better than shooting 1080 and you can crop in if needed. It does take extra time to render but definitely worth it.
max, do u have any experiences with samsung's 20 mm f2.8 and 30 mm f2? which would be good for family gatherings/indoors? 30 mm might have an edge in low light, but not sure if space is an concern to fit everyone in the frame. Those 2 should be sharper than kit lens, right? thx!
robert The 30mmF2 is great but haven't used the 20mm. If indoor space is limited then the 20mm will be better but be careful of making people look fatter or stretched out with the 20mm because it so wide.
Max Yuryev does nx500 correct the distortion (from 20mm lens) of jpeg in camera? Would correction still be applied to jpeg is i choose both RAW and jpeg? Or should i consider 16-50 f2-2.8, i read distortion isn't too bad on that lens, but it comes at a cost and pretty big in size too.
What about a comparison between the Sony a5100 and this camera Samsung NX500? I haven't seen that comparison in any other channel and I think that'd be interesting to see
If you can get the NX500 buy it. It got the best APS-C sensor on the market right now, together with the NX1 and slightly behind is the A6300. The NX500 is probably very cheap if you find it so it's a great purchase :)
Max Yuryev I was on the fence about getting the NX500, but your review help swayed me into waiting for a higher-end model. That 4K crop was a major factor.
Hey Max, can you explain the live view mode on 4k? Without a designated movie mode, how does this work and is there a live view feature if I shoot in 1080 without going into movie standby mode?
Kyle LeDotNet Hi Kyle, You don't need to go into live view but live view helps as it adds the crop if your in 4k, and gives you a 16x9 view. If your shooting in 1080P and have your photo aspect ratio at 16x9 live view will show the same image.
+Isaac Tan I can't say personally, as I've only had a limited time with the A6000, but a friend of mine owned both the a5100 and a6000 and purchased the NX500 and likes it a whole lot better. He says the images are more detailed, better dynamic range, and better AF, and better low light.
A shame Samsung exited the camera business. I can't get this to work with an NFC-equipped Android device. Has anyone an idea whether the NX500 will trigger a Godox [AD600Pro] with any of the Godox triggers?
MrThepilviVlogs I don't need the reach of the FZ1000. The NX500 is much more compact, I like the menu system and control better as well. You can also power it with a usb brick for long shooting without needing lots of batteries.
Hey there Max Yuryev I'm searching for a cheap solution to shoot 1080P60FPS for at least 29 minutes at a time. This to me looks like it's the best option out there to do that whilst still being able to take decent pictures. Would you recommend this over any other camera or would you rather recommend me the let's say Nikon d5300 or sony a77II or a completely third camera? I will be using the camera to record mostly profile such as you do in your videos or perhaps even closer to just the face in at least 1080p 60 fps key here being 60fps; whilst still being able to take decent pictures. So to sum up my question. What camera would you recommend that gives me the cheapest option to record 1080P 60FPS whilst still taking decent photographs? I don't mind paying for quality but I just moved so budget is pretty tight. If you say nothing less than an a77ii would do it then I'll just wait a bit until I can afford that, or if you come up with a camera I ain't even heard of to a cheaper price than the nx500 then that's just amazing or would you straight up just say get the nx500 for what you're describing? cheers Max :) Really enjoyed this presentation and review/overview
Alright then. I'll see if I can find one of those used. It's rather hard since it's still pretty new but I guess I gotta save up a bit then and then buy a brand new one. Guess I don't need a full size dslr even though it looks appealing due to the bigger size... I don't know. It just looks more prof than a small little thing.. but I'll take your word for it. Cheers :)
+ScrattleGG did you end up buying the nx500 or a6000 a totally different camera, I have seen you comment and ask similar questions on 5+ reviews of the nx500 or a6000, i'm just curious what you ended up buying, because I'm in the same boat.
***** actually nothing yet haha. I ended up with a pretty major surgery so I was out of work for a while and saved the money. I'm actually looking more into the g7 atm or maaayyybe the gx7. You can thank me for confusing you later ^^
Whenever you buy this Camera make sure and throw away the Samsung Battery, it will cause the Camera to malfunction. Order some off brand batteries and you will not have any problems with this camera whatsoever. The pictures will blow you away. And video crystal clear, I just use the 1080 60p.
No view finder is a deal breaker for me. It renders the camera useless outside on a bright sunny day. I can't image a camera company like Samsung cutting a corner like this on a camera in this price range.
I understand your concern and its valid, but I don't think they were cutting corners its just a choice they had to make. Either have a large sensor small camera with a viewfinder or with a 180 degree screen. They chose the screen.
Samsung NX-500 shoot 4k video. They crop video when I hit record button. Is very very terrible design. I have to stop recording and move back until I have the right angel. Take to much time to shoot 4k video. I never see any camera design like that. Anybody own this camera they will get mad when they shoot 4k Video. I don't recommend people to buy this camera. I hope this memo will go to Sangjun Yu and Hyunsik Yu. Both Senior Engineers at Samsung Electronics
Alan Nguyen I hope you watched the video to understand why this is. Both the GH4, Panasonic LX100, and G7 all crop in when you go into the 4k function. Its something that we have to deal with until more powerful processors come around. Now the NX1 on the other hand has a beast of a processor and does not crop, so I'd suggest picking one of those up.
I know is crop down. The design is terrible. They crop down when you hit recording. I have to star all over. Is very unprofessional. gh4 , fz1000 don't crop like that. I try to shoot 4 people when I push recording I see only 2 and half people. What design is that?
Alan Nguyen It may help to hit the movie preview mode (delete button) to go into movie mode so you can see what your crop is. That way you can frame your shot before you hit Rec.

thx so much for the review, love it! Q: does nx500 remember and track faces later? does it focus on eyes? thanks!
robert Yes it does have facial tracking!
Thank you!
awesome, this camera just looks so cool too
what do you mean by flat video? I was kind of hoping for a video example to show that. Thanks for the review and excellent detail.
What wrist watch are you wearing?
Hi from France,
Do you have the fish eye lens from Samsung F10ANW (quite expensive) bcz I'm asking how is look like 4K + this FE lens ?
Max Yuryev Thank you for your reply!
+AgnosLibertine if mainly for 4K go G7!
really? how do you figure? please tell me.
hey max why are your recommending the g7 instead of nx500? is the cropping?
Hi Max. Can you tell me how is the áudio quaility of the camara? Can I use the Samsung EM10 mic with this camera?
No mic input and as far as I heard you can't use the Samsung. I recommend the Shure mic with internal recorder.
I have the NX2000, I don't like the focus the camera does. Keeps trying to stay in focus too often. Is this NX500 good at keeping focus? I mainly want a camera to do video reviews. Is it better to get the Sony AX53 or the Sony RX100 V? Both are around the same price range but the Sony brand does a better job than Samsung seems like
Hi~ this video is really helpful. I have just one question, how do you set the ring that can be used to adjust ISO, etc. for zooming only?
If you want a consultation to ask as much q's as u want you can contact me through my site, vist MaxYuryev.com/Consultation
haii maxx.. i want to ask you about samsung nx500 and sony alpha 5100. which one is better? thankss max 😊😊
Where can I download the sample footage? Thx
the high iso comparison you made shows different results from the ones you said
nx500 is worse than nx1 and nx1 is worse than lx100
they are both noisy and soft!
Top Camera👍🏻
lack of mic input sadly..
Max - Does the nx500 apply a noise reduction? I hope not. Thanks for the videos.
Hi Max, loved this review! Any plans to compare this with the a6000?
Indraneel Phadke Thanks! No sorry! Maybe with the a7000 if that gets released soon. Too much other vids in the pipeline including 3 that need to be edited at this time.
YOURE BACK!!!
Yup. Had to take car of some wedding edits and some business video shoots/edits along with my 9-5 before doing more YT vids.
Very frank and excellent presentation and in the show, I'm really puzzled, my friend, do I take the sony a6000 and I think that disadvantage the screen that do not touch, or am I chose samaung nx500 or nx3000, help me please
For the information I am not interested in filming the video I am only interested in pictures
+mezoo zoon I think you'll be fine with the A6000, I like the inexpensive 50mm 1.8 with image stabilization for the A6000.
+Max Yuryev It means that the best is to portray sony a6000?
+mezoo zoon The sensor in the NX500 is nicer, so is the back screen. If a touchscreen is very important than of course go for the NX500. Both are great cameras, personally I chose the NX500 but you can't go wrong either way.
Well thank you very much my friend
thiss camera is better in focus than d800 nikon,,,
bokeh is impressive..
more sharper and same dynamic range than 5d mark 3 with KIT LENS!!!
its dream camera for amateur and pro..
il Messia della Magia better AF in video than d800 is not really surprising, Nikon misses focus in live view a lot
Max Yuryev Thank you Max for the instant respond! I will probably buy the nx500. Your answer helped me.
how do i download videos to my phone from the camera?
Hi...Which would you choose between nx500 vs fujifilm xt20...?Is it worth to buy nx500 fo now?Whic is it has bsi cmos, 28mpx n no aa filter.Thx max
I do hope you bought the NX500!
What about a battery grip for the nx500 will the one for the nx1 fit
Quick question, is that the IKEA tornliden table top? If not what desk are you using?
doormatt Yes!
Nope not completely. Still have 2 GH4s that I use along with an NX1. Using both for now.
Hi....can I ask something. I got problem with my camera nx500 when I move the video to my laptop. The video only show sound without any picture. when i move into my phone the video can't play porperly too. Can you teach me how to set it? Thanks in advance 😊😊😊
Plays with free version of Divx and also MX player (android). Also many convertors available including samsung software
what do u think about just everyday UA-cam videos. I been looking for a camera just cheap and does good with every day UA-cam videos. what do you think?
Watch my last 2 videos and buy the deal right now. It's an amazing kit for the price will be perfect for you!
which camera will perform better for portraits.
Nikon D3300 or Samsung Nx500 ?
which camera have better image quality
+Ch Chand Tanha Image quality is very similar, but because of lens options I'd go D3300. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
So confused to choose between nx500 and a6000
Excellent review Max Yuryev
gracias, saludos desde España
Thanks for watching!
If your settings are correct you shouldn't have any quality loss.
thanks, i will check it out for sure.
Can you please help me set up my Samsung nx500. I don’t know how to set up my camera.
Are you sorted now? Be sure to download the manual and read through more than once but not all at once. Practice!
Excellent review Max, can you tell me what would be better and give the best quality for video between the NX500 with the kit lens and 50-200mm and the FZ1000 also which would you say has the best autofocus, thanks..Jules
For video autofocus the nx500 will be much better, photo autofocus would be similar. I would go for the nx500 and the tele lens over the fz1k
Max Yuryev Thank you for replying Max you are the only guy I will trust for reviewing cameras as you give an unbiased opinion and give both sides of the track so to speak...Jules
thank you for this review , i purchase mine , waiting for the store to go it (Canada)
Thanks for watching!
wht do u recomend Samsung NX500 or Panasonic LX100 ?
NX500 it have Clean HDMI ?
Yes.
Great video man. Does this camera support remote control?
Yes, get the Samsung Camera Manager.
max, do u have any experiences with samsung's 20 mm f2.8 and 30 mm f2? which would be good for family gatherings/indoors?
Should I buy this one or the Panasonic FZ-1000? I will use it for 4k video most of the time.
if you don't need mic input and don't mind converting id do the nx500.
Max Yuryev so the NX500 is that much better than the Fz-1000?
well in IQ it is better. i like the smaller form factor and faster lens ability too.
how is the battery life? I'm interested in getting this for some video work.
About 1.5hrs in my use.
Great video, thank you very much!
+M T Thanks for watching!
What about a comparison between the Sony a5100 and this camera Samsung NX500? I haven't seen that comparison in any other channel and I think that'd be interesting to see
I think Samsung has stopped with photography.
Really? I had no idea! I think Samsung and BenQ used to make the best cameras, it's a shame they stopped :(
I don't remember now where I saw it but it was recently.
김예찬
What is a/s?
If you can get the NX500 buy it. It got the best APS-C sensor on the market right now, together with the NX1 and slightly behind is the A6300. The NX500 is probably very cheap if you find it so it's a great purchase :)
Sony a6000 vs NX500, which is the best in low light stills and dynamic range?
Gabriel Borges NX500 is slightly better both low light stills and DR, but not a huge difference.
Actually, the 29:59 limit is due to European tax laws. More than that limit, the device gets taxed as a camcorder. Good review. Thanks.
podcastenglish Yes definitely. I went into that in my NX1 videos. I would love manufacturers to allow us to pay extra not to have this limit.
Thanks for the review, Max.
Byron Yang Thanks for watching!
Max Yuryev I was on the fence about getting the NX500, but your review help swayed me into waiting for a higher-end model. That 4K crop was a major factor.
Nice video my friend
Can you use the ring on the kit lens as a manual focus while recording video?
Yes!
Max Yuryev can you shoot 4k in the RAW format?
Yes.
If your shooting in 1080P and have your photo aspect ratio at 16x9 live view will show the same image.
thank you Max. highly appreciated.
Is it possible to use an auto mode, but be able to adjust the shutter speed while filming?
Yes. just set it to shutter priority. :)
samsung nx500 or lumix gx7 ?
NX500? or A5100?
+pierreson tan I have a friend who has both, like the images/video much better from the NX500.
+Max Yuryev I thought the a5100 had the same exact image/video quality as the a6000?
Does it connect to iPhone?
Is there a way I can take pictures while still recording? My videos always stop if I try to snap a picture. Can you help me please? 🙏🏻
Sorry no.
Max Yuryev thank you for replying! Do you know if the flash works while recording video on the nx500?
No it doesn't. This type of flash is strictly used for photos, as it's not like a LED flash found in smartphones.
Does it have an external mic input?
no
Thanks!!!!
23:42 where can i buy this lenses for NX500 ?
+The Fow amzn.to/1XBgidx
Samsung NX500 and Nikon 1 J5 which 1 better ?
Definitely NX500. Much much larger sensor (about 4x surface area) shallower DOF, better low light, and image quality.
+Max Yuryev thanks for sharing info... ^^
Will this be better or the a6000?
+Isaac Tan I can't say personally, as I've only had a limited time with the A6000, but a friend of mine owned both the a5100 and a6000 and purchased the NX500 and likes it a whole lot better. He says the images are more detailed, better dynamic range, and better AF, and better low light.
A shame Samsung exited the camera business. I can't get this to work with an NFC-equipped Android device.
Has anyone an idea whether the NX500 will trigger a Godox [AD600Pro] with any of the Godox triggers?
You need the Samsung Camera manager. Indeed a shame - this is the best I've used out of many. As noted elsewhere, see the main NX500 group in Flickr.
Does this camera have audio?
Yes but not by external microphone. Has mic level and wind cut options.
what do you think, fz1000 or nx500?
Nx500 for me
ok i like both, but tell me why?
MrThepilviVlogs I don't need the reach of the FZ1000. The NX500 is much more compact, I like the menu system and control better as well. You can also power it with a usb brick for long shooting without needing lots of batteries.
Hey there Max Yuryev
I'm searching for a cheap solution to shoot 1080P60FPS for at least 29 minutes at a time.
Sony A6000 :)
Cheers :)
oh and no full tilt or flip screen so I can see it whilst recording my own face or when vlogging... I do that thing...
You can thank me for confusing you later ^^
very good video, just sayin'
Détailles rêview , thanks
Whenever you buy this Camera make sure and throw away the Samsung Battery, it will cause the Camera to malfunction. Order some off brand batteries and you will not have any problems with this camera whatsoever. The pictures will blow you away. And video crystal clear, I just use the 1080 60p.
Really? Sounds like you were unlucky. You are totally right about the snaps, amazing clarity and colour.
It does have 120fps @ 720p
No
it does
set movie @720 and then go fast/slow movie. and set to 4x
Sorry i mean comparing :)
Thanks Max Yuryev for your reply
Alan Nguyen It may help to hit the movie preview mode (delete button) to go into movie mode so you can see what your crop is. That way you can frame your shot before you hit Rec.
