The lyrics at 6:55, "for the night you cried all by yourself" and "for the days treated as Insanity," refer to young "scum" who have decent sensibilities but are labeled as "unserious" or "incompetent" by others. The song expresses sympathy for these people. Your comment at 5:06, "It's a song that is angry and positive at the same time," is very pertinent. Many of THE BLUE HEARTS' songs are about anger toward the stereotypical society of the time and the helplessness of youth. At the same time, they also express empathy and tenderness for young people who are being subjected to the same "scum" treatment they received in their childhood because of their slightest mistakes or differences(despite the existence of more sinister events and adults who do evil) . What strikes me most is that the youth (especially in a Japanese society where support for youth and families is neglected despite a shrinking population) will always be helpless in 2022, which makes this song so resonant, and furthermore, that we do not have artists like THE BLUE HEARTS today.

Actually this is a song for young people who became tired and lonely because of competitive society. At that time in contrast to economic growth people lost connection with other people(family, friend etc...) and become lonely. Hiroto(vocal) wanted to cheer them by singing "Endless Song".

ブラジル人の友達にリンダリンダを聴かせたところリンダと言う言葉はポルトガル語でボニータ（かわいい）より上の、最上級に可愛い。
最も美しい。と言う愛情表現だと教わりました。今でもそのブラジル人のお気に入りの曲だそうです。
お二人がブルーハーツの歌詞を知って、曲を共感して下さってきていることに凄く驚き、嬉しいです。もちろん、日本人の私も、ドブネズミが写真にも写らない美しさがある、と言うことが未だに分かるかと言うと、完全には分かりません。でも、普通は誰も思いつかないようなその歌詞に私は圧倒されました。

昔からのファンです。彼らは公言はしていませんが、リンダリンダの意味はスペイン語で「美しい、美人」などという意味があり、そこからきているのではないかという解釈があります。歌詞ひとつひとつに感慨深く、考えさせられる事が多々ありますが、彼らの言葉に「発する言葉を好きな形で捉えても良いんだよ。」という言葉の捉え方の自由さ、すなわちそれを音楽性の自由さ＝ロックだと言ってます。だから時代を超えてかっこいいんです。
