I am in a wheelchair due to a permanent broken leg right femur and tibia and it has been that way for 6 years going on 7 I've listened to you since I was 12 and I love music 🎶 all kinds mostly Motown and well all kinds but you are my absolute favorite if I had one wish it would be to meet you because I so admire you and love you Al Green .... I am 60 years old but I don't let it stop me when I listen to you I dance in my wheelchair I love 💕 you

Before Michael Jackson stole my heart, I belonged to Al Green. It was the spirit of heaven in him and that gospel organ and the trumpets. I didn't care when he went back to gospel. He was the embodiment of the gospel when he sang secularly. Words were irrelevant, his voice, his energy, his commitment to his faith--Praise God--Al--the holy one of r&b.
1st concert, my aunt (it was so exciting and wonderful. Still to this day one of the most exciting days of my life. I would live life all over again just to experience it again. And it still excites me every time I see, think of, speak of him or hear his voice. Time of my life.). I was in love before I went to see him, been in love ever since. Always will be. How can you mend a broken heart? I don't know, but Al Green , just give me a chance, I'll do my damnedest to try. I been in love with you from 11 or 12 years old. Probably 10 (Since before I knew I could have feelings for a man. AL Green was my very first teacher. I learned that lesson well.) I always will be. Oooh I love you so much. Love you mad, mad, madly. We traveled playing music, many years, my husband my guitar player, across the United States. Yes we played with some great people, but there came a Time when we couldn't stay together any longer. He got into a habit and I had to leave because I had children, at home. After our divorce, he had a car accident and died. I had to call his mother in San Francisco. I never got over it and everytime I hear that song Oh, how I remember that it was his song to me. I didn't know who Al Green was until he introduced him to me on an album. He played that song for me over and over. He was so romantic. After he died, I met someone else who was so bad for me, worked for the state but was no better a man then he was. Now I've been alone, no dates, 20 years. I hide out. I don't know if anyone can understand. This song means everything. And, now I'm so tired of being alone. That's my song now. Thank you Al Green if you're still with us. In fact the year of this concert is the year that he died. We had only been divorced a couple of months.
