That's cause the first part is Davy jones expressing his love for calypso then the second part is calypso drawing him in to be damned basically and so on, keeps switching between them.
I always see people commenting about breaking their replay button, but this is the first song I've actually replayed over and over again. 10/10 would watch again.
His love life with Calypso would be so interesting to watch. The individual personalities of the Flying Dutchman would be further explored. And it would be cool if he wasn't as evil but more just misunderstood. Also how he fights epic battles in command of the Kraken would be sick. Young Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl could also be more of a rival or ally than an enemy in the show.
A while ago when I first heard this, I saw comments about how this doesn't match Davy Jones, he's meant to be a fearsome tale. Yes, *he* is. But his background, and the song tells a very emotional story. That I think is intensified in this so much. Good work.
i love how at the very start of the song, the lines sound very innocent, but at the very end, the last line is exactly the same, but has a strange ominous feeling

Once upon a time, a loving wife, her husband and their baby son, her husband was a sailor, the wife would stand on a cliff side holding their baby, every day to wait for her husband return home, hoping to see his ships sail on the mountain side. But one day, her husband die in a ship wreck, but she did not know, she just keep waiting. One day, one week, one month, years had passed, and as legend goes she and her baby son become a rock due to the long term waiting, still waiting eternally for her lover to come back and their family can reunite. That rock was called Amah Rock, if you one day come to visit HK, you can also do a hiking trip to see the rock.
I absolutely adore this song normally, but this turns it into almost a Siren's song. It starts all nice and coy and beautiful, then when the men resist, they turn darker and clinch it with the dark part!

When the music got higher I thought about Calypso's pain and anger at Jones when she learned the truth. She wanted Jones dead. But as soon as he died she grabbed him and now they're together because he died at sea. Her feeling didn't change. Calypso still loved Jones😭

A very beautiful slow start to the middle of the song, then the organ kicks in and the background mixes in with the mood then settles like the aftermath of a storm. A very good nightcore ^_^

Just that she has always been there. That's where they were wrong. Years ago, that statue was an alive and breathing breathing person. Two weeks later, she stood on sunsett cliff and waited for her husband, when he didn't come she started to go grey and hard. First it was here feet. Then knees. Then waist. Then shoulders and finally, her head. She turned to stone. When her husband came home, he was in horror. He couldn't stay and look at her so he left, and to this day, The beautiful woman still waits for her love to come and release her from her grey prison. Would you wait for your true love for all of eternity?
