I got to see one during the county fair in my little home town a few years back ! They had came into the gas station to fill it up ! I got to look inside , look at the engine and underneath it ! They was from out of state and was here for the county fair monster truck rally ! I wish that could remember where they was from and the name of the truck ! It was awesome to see it !
Thank you for a great trip in Cedartown ! I have only flown into Atlanta then a little town close to a Air Force Base for TDY which stand for temporary duty ! I was getting trained the new up dates for the equipment that I worked on ! Thank you again for taking me along on your trip there !
I couldn’t help but chime in and let it be known that many of the store fronts were given fictitious names and branding because several hollywood movies have been filmed in Cedartown over the last ten years. Each time a new film comes to town, they reface every single building and only the vacant ones retain those movie facades. The most memorable movie was directed by Billy Bob Thorton and included actors Kevin Bacon and Robert Duvall. They brought in old 1940-60s cars and police cars, filmed for three weeks and was the most exciting times for everyone to experience. The movies is “Jayne Mansfeld’s Car” released in 2012!
Food trucks yum. That is a really cool looking theater front 👍 I love the murals. Crossing lights in small-town USA 😂 I like the old style street signs there also. I didn't see a whole lots cedars there though 🤷
I live here. The cigars & beer you smell were behind the buildings you were at off the side street. Their is a cigar bar and restaurant called 'Cedar & Smoke' 🥰
They have completely updated the West Cinema, after some water damage, while still keeping a lot of the original construction. It looks amazing! We hope y'all visit our little town again!
Love your travels. God bless our small towns. If I may make a suggestion, try Cave Spring, GA for their Independence Day Parade. It’s especially fun because anyone can join. Decorated trucks, four wheelers, horses.... Join in and see the beautifully decorated homes along the route.
Home of actor and Disney voice actor Sterling Holloway, the voice of Winnie the Pooh, Cheshire Cat, Kahn the snake, and narrated many Disney shorts. He was a good friend of Walt Disney. He is also a character on Andy Griffith show, perhaps you watched Peter and the Wolf in school that he narrated. His father was the town mayor in the 1910s who is buried in Cedartown. The town has a very fascinating history and a weird ability to produce Football stars, Hollywood stars, Rockstars, and Country Stars, and then attracts even mega hollywood stars to make movies. It makes no sense but we are proud 🥲
What a pretty little town, but such a large population...it seems 'most like a city...ha ha ha. Our town of Lyle, Washington boasts a fluctuating population of 575 - 578. Every now and again they arrest some, "good ol' boys" or drunk Indians, and off they go to jail for spell, so it changes our population accordingly. That there truck looked much like the normal rigs around here. Folks up country from us get deep snow come winter time, so naturally they gotta have those tall trucks. At least that's the excuse they are presently using. ...ha ha ha... Thanks for letting us hang out with you on this lovely little tour. Have a great day!
This is where I was born only 8 miles from downtown. . You may have heard of the trail of years . My great great grandma was on the trail . That's all I will say she got mad went back to her parents the federal troops came through March all of them to Oklahoma
My family has been in Cedartown since the late 1840's. I have 3 Gr-Gr Grandfather's who fought for the Confederate States of America Buried here. This is a Historic Place. Late in the War 1864, the Town along with 65 Buildings, Factory was burned by Hugh Judson Kilpatrick, Sherman's "Merchant of Terror". In case you didn't know, The Union Army burnt 10 Million acres of Georgia. You can still find many lone standing ole chimneys, Georgia and all over the South, where families once lived.
Which part? College street where the ice heads has taken over? Or the part where the city commissioners stole money from Turner Street Park to beautify that trash you call a sprinkler to keep black and brown people out of your part of town only to see your own children get addicted to meth. Yeah, trash, alright. Ha!!! Keep Cedartown beautiful!🤣🤣
Uh I think Chubb is a great athlete no doubt but he is not the only thing the Late great Sterling Holloway a.k.a. the original voice of Winnie the Pooh was born and raised here.
I lived here as a young girl in 1986-87. Went to Westside, Mrs. Sanders. ❤️ Best teacher ever!

No offense to anyone who lives there, but the best thing to ever come out of Cedartown was Nick Chubb!
