Afaik, most capacitors are for filtering and their absence doesn't disrupt the circuit considerably.

I have done some similar jobs for a different brand though. Just removed the IC and boom, everything worked as expected.

@@eddyboh2723 its because some components serve as a precaution kind of reason - lets say there is a signal line... sometimes they put a capacitor to gnd to serve as a filter/stabilizer of this rail, or a resistor for various micro protection whatever... its a design feature on some devices depends what rail it is... often times its not required and phone can function for years even without it
