Max T.Hasumi was not a bug. The issue was that the rewards were too high, but Natgames had only realized it after the event had went live for a few hours. This allowed some people to get T.Hasumi close to UE40 (along with an absolute ton of eligma and credits/reports) before servers were brought down for maintenance. Since the majority of the player base was not able to enjoy the higher rates, there was quite a large backlash about the nerfed rewards. In the end, Natgames gave everyone enough Elephs for a maxed T.Hasumi along with a lot of other goodies which finally calmed everyone down.
Of course that will make people angry. It's one thing if one not so consequential (but useful) reward is broken and is giving those using the window of broken rewards time to leave like a payday 2 crew after a whole marathon of Meth cooking. It's another if EVEN HIGHLY SOUGHT AND ESSENTIAL for stable progression rewards are broken and then anyone who couldn't exploit the window would be left at a huge gap. Especially BA, where a shit ton of their content REQUIRES several dozens of Students in the roster, levelled and properly upgraded in all aspects (Equips, Rarity, Exclusive weapon and equip, skills) to even have a chance at keeping a casual rate in the Gold bracket for optimal casual rewards. If their stupid Gacha had a Soft Pity (60-80 Pulls for a guaranteed 3* pull) with a Hard Pity (% chance of Banner student, ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT NEVER ENTERED THE COMMON POOL TO THIS DAY, rises with each failed pull, getting to 100% at 180-200 failed pulls, F sparking if it won't have Soft Pity) or the Spark was adjusted to a more reasonable amount of gems than a whooping 20 failed 10 pulls, were it 15 it would be disputable having only the spark, but 20? Hell no, Soft pity should be mandatory.

I think they invested too much in the chinese client. With the current state of their economy and future prospects being bleak, they might not get their investment back. It may also create future conflicts between the devs and the KR/JP/Global playerbases as the chinese players are... welll.... childish is an understatement. The issue with mainland chinese players is that they always demand preferential treatment. There's dozens of fiascos involving them in multiple games. As a former Honkai player I can count among the fiascos: 1. the one time they reported Mihoyo to the govt for a Kiana swimsuit (which then got censored) 2. the one time they tried to kill a dev over Global getting bunnysuits when China didn't (despite it being their fault to begin with, see no.1) 3. the multiple times they demanded better rewards and more free stuff than other servers and getting what they wished, including global rewards being reduced. Soo, yeah... expect to add more to that iceberg as the game starts getting traction in China.
Well as long as this game is not made from mainland China I think those kinds of fiascos won't impact the KR/JP/Global server that much, just like what FGO China did with altered certain servant art and other stuff that is only exclusive on the Mainland. But you never know these days

That was my first gacha game and only because I found it and saw an English option in a drop-down box, despite the game still not having a non-JP version, and for years (if not still) had no support for payments from other countries. I would recommend any game company to sus out that payment thing, but why should one regions preferences dictate how a company makes what they claim to be their domestic version? If the game is good, users will VPN, emulate, spoof, crack or whatever they need to do in order to play.
Kindy weird that I started BA around Bunny Chasers when I absolutely knew nothing about said event receiving the first mainstream push the game received got. I didn't know that BAsuna and BKarin were helping the game reach its first major critical mass. I was just seeing rave reviews with the story and have gotten tired with Arknights and Azur Lane at that point. That said, the most insane the fanbase got was the Kisaki storm who stole THE MOST HYPED character's thunder when she was seen for like less than a minute in total. Takane only held a fraction of what Kisaki's clout. Kuzunoha sadly didn't gain much traction despite being a great design.
I think the craziest part of the whole BAC vs BAO(GL) drama was because it was allegedly started by one really salty person who false flagged BAC… Pretty great Iceberg video though, was waiting for someone to make something like this for Blue Archive
Unfortunately BAC is a shell of its former self, the community basically entirely had to move over to the official server or one of a couple alternate community servers that were invite-only. Since BAC was initially raided and false flagged back in 2021, the "civil war" was the second strike as far as Discord was concerned (never mind the fact that to my knowledge the allegations were never proven) and there was Sword of Damocles hanging over the entire server. For a time we weren't even sure if the mods would be able to keep their accounts. To add insult to injury, a *lot* of community history was lost in the lockdown as well, which is something that simply cannot be replaced. The entire thing never should've happened. I haven't been active on any of the major BA discords since BAC was gutted, preferring to stick to my club's disc instead. I still love this community, but it's lost a lot of its luster for me.
As far as I know only Jimoori (also known as Nana in Discord) is the only mod to have been banned by Discord. Also Poots (Hifuumin, one of the two server admins) deleted his account a short while after the lockdown and relinquished all control to Xeno.
to be honest, i expect an avneger style for a major capter ending in BA, so the PV is awesome. perhaps this sort of plot progress and style is quite familiar for somebody who grwo up with marvel avenger serie, and princess connect has similar plot progress too.

An interesting thing for the Translation Issue portion: A major/main translator for the game passed away suddenly after the Sakura Festival rerun. While there were many issues with their translations early on they also were very receptive and went looking for feed back that resulted in many fixes. One of the most apparent being that the Decagrammaton god was stated to be "buried under sand" in the OG translation, but was fixed to being "sunk underwater" around Vol 3 release. One can also easily tell when the translator(s) change if you look at the end of Vol 3 Ch 3 and start of Vol 4 Ch 4.
The Miku banner was the 2nd or 3rd banner I experienced after starting this game, and I'm such a hopeless Miku simp that I paid $90 to get her LMAO Still don't regret it though

January of this year is probably the craziest period for the Blue Archive community, so many stuff happened in that small time period alone. Vol F was revealed, Mika became playable, Kisaki was revealed (which caused a massive art surge which only started to die down around April), and also some bad stuff... Bad stuff such as the time when the BAC server was gutted thanks to one guy posting and self reporting CSEM and the server was left a husk of its former self. Which then lead to a mass exodus of users into other BA servers and the title for "largest Blue Archive Discord server" was lost and given to Blue Archive Global, the actual official server.

Just a reminder, if your emulator is chugging, be sure to put the emulator and in-game options to 60 FPS (or higher). Tbh deducing "AL-1S" to simply "Aris" make total sense as they kinda written & pronounced the same in both ENG/JP (AL-1S -> Aris/Arisu), but the Kay/Kei suck though because Kei is an actual Japanese name while Kay isn't (and from aesthetic aspect it looks way better too), despite having the same pronunciation as "ケイ/ke-i” in JP and both can be misread from Key -> Kei or Kay in ENG. Many people keep whining about Aris' name is supposed to be written as "Alice" in ENG for some dumb game reference, ignoring the fact that they are written & pronounced the same way as ”アリス/A-ri-su" in JP, so obviously the name "Aris" can also serve as that reference just fine without having to be the boring, overused name of "Alice", even though I prefer to read & write it as "Arisu" because it's cuter.

At first I only played BA for Miku collab and I'm glad I was to get her. But as I progress even further I became more attached to the characters and end up staying for good

As an added bonus, she even makes it a point to not only narrate the character dialogue lines in the Story/Events but to also sound like the characters.

i actually thought she was sponsored by the game at first since her earlier streams has some cute drawings of the characters and she explains their personality one by one on the intro, really shows her dedication for loving the game.

With the way things are going from controversial circumstances and months-long suspensions leading to sudden graduations (Mirei Gundou, you will be missed), I am glad she is still sticking to the Independent route.
@@wastedapples1 Actually same at first, gotta support those who chose to be Independent. I don't really watch too much v-tubers anymore but i heard alot of news about v-tubers with agencies (even the ones that i used to sometimes watch) graduating which really sucks.

I think they invested too much in the chinese client. With the current state of their economy and future prospects being bleak, they might not get their investment back. It may also create future conflicts between the devs and the KR/JP/Global playerbases as the chinese players are... welll.... childish is an understatement.
The issue with mainland chinese players is that they always demand preferential treatment. There's dozens of fiascos involving them in multiple games. As a former Honkai player I can count among the fiascos:
1. the one time they reported Mihoyo to the govt for a Kiana swimsuit (which then got censored)
2. the one time they tried to kill a dev over Global getting bunnysuits when China didn't (despite it being their fault to begin with, see no.1)
3. the multiple times they demanded better rewards and more free stuff than other servers and getting what they wished, including global rewards being reduced.
Soo, yeah... expect to add more to that iceberg as the game starts getting traction in China.

Well as long as this game is not made from mainland China I think those kinds of fiascos won't impact the KR/JP/Global server that much, just like what FGO China did with altered certain servant art and other stuff that is only exclusive on the Mainland.

@@billcosbee2057 Can't they just do what Granblue Fantasy did back around 2016? Just make one version of the game with multiple languages, and say 'this isn't for you'? That was my first gacha game and only because I found it and saw an English option in a drop-down box, despite the game still not having a non-JP version, and for years (if not still) had no support for payments from other countries. I would recommend any game company to sus out that payment thing, but why should one regions preferences dictate how a company makes what they claim to be their domestic version?
If the game is good, users will VPN, emulate, spoof, crack or whatever they need to do in order to play.

I really like that long maintenance problem still exist till this day with the bunny event and recent srt summer event.
at the very least it only happens after events and not on a weekly basis 😆
but soon after that long maintenance they go 2b2t mode, add a queue to the game
today. everyone chilled with extend maintenance. someone happy that they will get more pile-rock-sin and even make a meme about it.
Kindy weird that I started BA around Bunny Chasers when I absolutely knew nothing about said event receiving the first mainstream push the game received got. I didn't know that BAsuna and BKarin were helping the game reach its first major critical mass. I was just seeing rave reviews with the story and have gotten tired with Arknights and Azur Lane at that point.
That said, the most insane the fanbase got was the Kisaki storm who stole THE MOST HYPED character's thunder when she was seen for like less than a minute in total. Takane only held a fraction of what Kisaki's clout. Kuzunoha sadly didn't gain much traction despite being a great design.

Pretty great Iceberg video though, was waiting for someone to make something like this for Blue Archive
Unfortunately BAC is a shell of its former self, the community basically entirely had to move over to the official server or one of a couple alternate community servers that were invite-only. Since BAC was initially raided and false flagged back in 2021, the "civil war" was the second strike as far as Discord was concerned (never mind the fact that to my knowledge the allegations were never proven) and there was Sword of Damocles hanging over the entire server. For a time we weren't even sure if the mods would be able to keep their accounts. To add insult to injury, a *lot* of community history was lost in the lockdown as well, which is something that simply cannot be replaced. The entire thing never should've happened.
I haven't been active on any of the major BA discords since BAC was gutted, preferring to stick to my club's disc instead. I still love this community, but it's lost a lot of its luster for me.
As far as I know only Jimoori (also known as Nana in Discord) is the only mod to have been banned by Discord. Also Poots (Hifuumin, one of the two server admins) deleted his account a short while after the lockdown and relinquished all control to Xeno.
to be honest, i expect an avneger style for a major capter ending in BA, so the PV is awesome. perhaps this sort of plot progress and style is quite familiar for somebody who grwo up with marvel avenger serie, and princess connect has similar plot progress too.
funfact: aiobahn(the guy who made the remix of unwelcome school shown in that section) actually got hired to make OST 175 for one of the colab events

An interesting thing for the Translation Issue portion: A major/main translator for the game passed away suddenly after the Sakura Festival rerun. While there were many issues with their translations early on they also were very receptive and went looking for feed back that resulted in many fixes. One of the most apparent being that the Decagrammaton god was stated to be "buried under sand" in the OG translation, but was fixed to being "sunk underwater" around Vol 3 release.
One can also easily tell when the translator(s) change if you look at the end of Vol 3 Ch 3 and start of Vol 4 Ch 4.

January of this year is probably the craziest period for the Blue Archive community, so many stuff happened in that small time period alone. Vol F was revealed, Mika became playable, Kisaki was revealed (which caused a massive art surge which only started to die down around April), and also some bad stuff...
Bad stuff such as the time when the BAC server was gutted thanks to one guy posting and self reporting CSEM and the server was left a husk of its former self. Which then lead to a mass exodus of users into other BA servers and the title for "largest Blue Archive Discord server" was lost and given to Blue Archive Global, the actual official server.

Just a reminder, if your emulator is chugging, be sure to put the emulator and in-game options to 60 FPS (or higher). To my surprise, that (and moving from NOX to Mumu player) got it running smoothly where it had never done so before. The Aris name is actually correct after Volume F Ch 3. I too thought it should've been Alice prior to that.
Tbh deducing "AL-1S" to simply "Aris" make total sense as they kinda written & pronounced the same in both ENG/JP (AL-1S -> Aris/Arisu), but the Kay/Kei suck though because Kei is an actual Japanese name while Kay isn't (and from aesthetic aspect it looks way better too), despite having the same pronunciation as "ケイ/ke-i” in JP and both can be misread from Key -> Kei or Kay in ENG.
Many people keep whining about Aris' name is supposed to be written as "Alice" in ENG for some dumb game reference, ignoring the fact that they are written & pronounced the same way as ”アリス/A-ri-su" in JP, so obviously the name "Aris" can also serve as that reference just fine without having to be the boring, overused name of "Alice", even though I prefer to read & write it as "Arisu" because it's cuter.
