Hello Taylor, again a very usefull video! Can I ask a question that is a bit off topic here? I have made a PTS part with 2 varables, for example width and heigth. In this example the width can be a range of values, and the heigth has a list of choises, but is depending on the assembly it is put in. When adding this PTS part multiple times to an assembly (clone) it wouls be very intresting if the heigth value can automatically be controlled bij an expression in the assembly. Is this possible without connecting the heigth value to the expression for every PTS part manually? In other words, I want to automatically 'pull' the expression value from an assembly to a PTS part.
The short answer is YES. In Template Studio Author, check out the "Smart Initialization" options. For a given Expression input, you can have NX look at the destination assembly for a specific Expression, Part Attribute, or Routing Attribute, and automatically link it up on instantiation. Check that out, and please let me know if that works for you! (And yeah... this is probably a great topic for a new video.) :-D
I created a template that has some dimensions shown in readtext only field but for some unkown reason this dimensions show more zeros than the value is show in expressions editor, so in Expressions editor it is so 12.5 but in the template it is 12.500000...do you know how can I change it?
@Stocjon1985: Great question. We've noticed this as well, and we're adding a specific control for the number of displayed decimal places in both ReadOnly and Label widgets in an upcoming release of NX. Thanks for asking!
Hello. First of all, this videos are so benefical. I need to ask you something sir. How can I add picture like a Mold Wizard informations. I need to see dimensions and I need to change in this picture. How can I add and manage ? Thank you for your videos. I like it so much.
If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like you're wanting to add an image to your dialog? You can use the "Label" widget in Template Studio Author to do this. This video shows some examples of this and shows the ability to swap this image dynamically if needed. ua-cam.com/video/olMebCktZHM/v-deo.html Does this help?
thank you Taylor, very good information
Thank you!
