Played this game recently alongside a friend. Legitimate banger of a game, became one of my favorites in seconds. Solidified its position once we reached endgame in a run, beating the government forces while this is playing in the background is something special.
Im literally crying having the biggest nostalgia trip of my life listening to the OST of these games lately, i cant belive this game is 20 years old and still the best game to exist in MANY different ways I find the music in WOTS1 actually speaks to the situation EXTREMELY WELL Just listening to the music, you can feel the struggle or can picture the scenario or whats going on These games were absolute masterpeices I never got my hands on Number 2, but 3 and 4 still do the job This game/series is an utter masterpeice NEEDS MORE RECOGNITION!! AND NEEDS TO RETURN AND GET REMASTERS please god, i could die happy
This game was an absolutely faultless masterpiece, defo one of the greatest games ever created, and one of the most underrated. It had a beautiful storyline, and gameplay was more addictive than heroine. On top of that, the soundtrack was absolutely godly. This is actually the best game that I have played in my lifetime.
@@Thean31 Yeah they removed his outfit but still kept his character model. Instead of his black and white robe, I think it was a pink or purple one. You could still tell its him though because of his hair and scars.

it felt like i was watching a movie, the music gave a good touch to the combat, i only wish i could have fought them all instead of the sad ending of the samurai losing power and being wiped out.
Ah, playing way of the samurai 1 when I was only in grade school, Kenshin playing on Cartoonnetwork and toonami. Every time I play way of the samurai and hear this I always liked going against the corrupt Meji troops. But seeing the comments.....i would rather stick to what Brutal heart was originally from.
Work with the Akadama AND Kaoru. Do not do the missions where you'd kill Akadama clanmembers or Kaoru clanmembers (This means join the Kaoru first, then swear yourself to the Akadama, don't do the night mission for the Akadama and eventually, when the Government decides to betray all, you haven't weakened either side so they're able to BAND TOGETHER thanks to the Kaoru realizing the Mejji Govt. Official wasn't gonna hold true to the promise and the Akadama already rooted out their traitor.)

I found it ironical a University in France during the time of the Black Plague.. They said 3 planets were aligned. Saturn. Jupiter.. Something else. And THIS was the cause of the Plague.. Of course it was back then, but.. I cannot help but believe the Planets did not make it occur but influenced their events.. We are in a time of Change.

ive played all of the way of the samurai games and i must say that all of them ar really good but best game is the first one. i think the last battle against the soldiers ar the best fights ever made.

@killertrip10 No, he's right, Kitcho is the one who says that. When the Government reinforcements show up and surround you, Kitcho and you charge them with that line. Also, it's not 'medieval' Japan, that would be the Sengoku period. This is much later, after the Meiji Ishin, during an unspecified, but likely early part of the Meiji era. Japan had just opened it's borders to foreigners, and so it's not at all unrealistic to see characters like Chelsea or Dona Dona who came to Japan and stayed.
found this game in a bin at block buster for $9, though the game was going to be some shit version of street fighter, how wrong i was, such an underrated game

When this game first came out I was a huge Blade of the Immortal fan. Sucks they cut out his character from the game because of the manji symbol
