- I was inspired to create a film that answered the simple question, “What is Reiki?” So often I've tried to explain the subtleties of energy work but words never seem to completely describe the experience. However, seeing Reiki in action allows you to better visualize the depth of this practice and understand how accessible and beneficial it can be for everyone.

Growing up with Asian grandma, great grandma. They used to use their hands on certain spots on my body (hands, head forehead and back) combined with the Lord prayers to heal me from any aches. It worked like a miracle. Miss my grandmas. Full of faith and love to the Lord.
My grandma would do this too!! Sometimes I try to do the same for my boyfriend but it doesn't work as well haha.
That's so sweet. But that is not Reiki. And I would like to respectfully warn you or anyone else against practicing Reiki if you're a believer in Christ as it is not of God. The new age movement can be very deceptive and sneaky.

I'm African American and my did this as well. She healed my mother of advance stages of puenumonia and I would get horrible cramps and headaches as a child and she would put her hands on me and pray and she took away the pain.
I had my first Reiki session yesterday. It was the most phenomenal experience...and I was the biggest skeptic. Not any longer. I felt so much lighter emotionally...

I am blown away, this is my calling. I feel it in my mind, body and soul. This puts my mind in a place of feeling at home. This is what I am supposed to be doing. I am a Real Estate Agent in the state of Kentucky. That is not my calling. Being an intuitive, empath and just having so much love for people, this is it. I must find my way to begin.

Anyone can practice and learn reiki, anyone. Like in anything you want to learn, you just need to practice with discipline and try to improve yourself.

I'm a Reiki Practitioner and I remember my first time to try it on someone, a friend. I did everything right, following the steps. I did this on her bed because she was not well. When I was done, she slept for a good 24hrs. They woke her up to eat but then she would sleep right after. I was confused and wondered if I did anything wrong. Apparently, she hasn't been sleeping well because of GERD. She is better now. I learned this as an act of service for others. I have not received any payment for my services. Some people would send over food or fruits if they want. Life is better when we share our gifts.

@@iangillbanks2420 I am aware of the Karmic balance of giving and taking but I am very well off. I do not need to charge because that is my balance. I am rich and this is my way of giving back to others for all the abundance in my life. It's my turn to give back.

I saw over a dozen doctors, was put on numerous medications. My hormone levels were a mess, my health was in the shitter. I kept seeing demons during episodes of spring paralysis. After one Reiki session the transformation was miraculous. I’m not the type to get this kind of treatment but after years of pain and no solutions you’ll try anything. I felt like an Angel healed me. The story is so much deeper, want to share it all. I effin cried I finally felt so much better. Absolutely amazing.

I feel like the everyday version is literally the hug. It's a basic human response to pain or happiness that everyone can give. Even if you don't know what reiki is. It's why I turned to reiki as a form of meditation.
I have been in Reiki for two years. My Reiki practitioner is a beautiful angel of love and reassurance. She has helped me see the light, her voice is so soothing. I have shared so much with her. She has helped me with nutrition vitamins and good advice. It’s like I am on a cloud and don’t want to get off. What a wonderful and blessed way to heal others. I am so grateful for this technique.

My Rei Ki teacher visited me recently, and treated me to a treatment each day for 8 days. She realized I had experienced stress in exorbitant quantities, ensured that my Chakras were in tact and in balance. I feel so blessed to have had a qualified and a sensitive teacher!
Reiki has changed my whole world. I'm so grateful that I found this it has helped me with my past trauma and I've grown spiritually. I'm now certified in Reiki.

Meditation is good, some councillors would recommend meditation.. But Reiki? Seems to me you wanted a quick fix rather than dealing with those emotions.

Reiki is able to help one deal with their emotions. That's why people do it, so they can experimene their blocks, accept them, bless them, and let go of them.
Love from Ireland. I have recently learned Reiki, and received my Shoden attunement. It is so powerful and calming for me. I practice it on me and my family, and it's fantastic. I feel as if I can now channelize my energy for the good and healing. I am really grateful and feel blessed that I have unlocked this skill in me.

As a reiki practioner I really enjoyed this video. I've watched so many people transform & progress through reiki. Great post. It's crazy being a clairvoyant alot of times my clients deceased relatives stop by for a visit during these session. Very powerful to experience.
Tru Colors_19_19 it’s been a loving, gentle, spiritual experience for me as well. At bare minimum, everyone feels peaceful, calm & relaxed. They always report back that they slept deeply & wake up refreshed.
Reiki allows your body to recalibrate, it’s like tuning up a piano or other musical instrument. Things that happen in life get you off balance so you may have blocked energy in the chakras. For example, if you went through a breakup your heart chakra may become blocked and you may be closed off to new relationships experience sorrow etc. Reiki unblocks the energy.

I noticed a cat at a session. I had a client that had 2 cats. As I was giving her a treatment the cats came out of hiding and jumped on the table. She said " they never do that" Somehow they knew something was happening that they could identify with. I have also had my dogs lay under my table during a session. Very calm and peaceful. You never know what a client brings to the table. I had a client begin crying as I started. I asked her why and she said this is the 1st thing I have done for myself. Everything else is for my husband, my children and my employer.
For several decades I arrogantly dismissed reiki as New age mumbo jumbo.reiki alleviates my bone on joint arthritis pain without toxic medication, while inducing calm.Reiki works.I stand corrected thanks.
I would be afraid of the giver, his or her religion if any, her mental state. This is in no way a Christian practice. Its origins are in hinduism.

This form of discourse leads to people making bad decision. Reiki has no evidence, so we don't know what it actually does for humans. There are legitimate, demonstratable, and testible means of healing that actually work.
This actually have nothing to do with religion. Just people don’t understand, if study Taichi in detail with good teacher this is almost the same concept , moving the energy / tai”chi”/ reiki through the body for better health. If people are against reiki just try taichi. It’s not religious at all. Chinese medicine and Indian yoga has the same base, moving and balancing the body energy or chi , hence your emotion is also balanced . Emotion is affected by these imbalanceS

Thank you for sharing. I started getting Reiki sessions and studying Reiki almost two years ago. It has changed my life for the better in a lot of ways. Being super sensitive to drugs I started looking for other treatments for a condition I had that didn't involve drugs. My first Reiki session was amazing. I started studying Reiki from my practitioner and became a Reiki Master. I did some research on my own before going to my first Reiki session so I didn't go into it blind, but hopeful! Just like any other treatment it can take time. I also feel that you have to be open to it. And just like other treatment it just doesn't work for everyone, especially if you are closed off and closed minded. I wholeheartedly agree that one's diet, holding onto negative thoughts and life styles play a major role in the healing process. Reiki involves the body as a whole, mind, body and spirit. It's the process of nurturing all three. "Free the spirit, inspire the mind." Namaste!!!

I was introduced to reiki healing in the form of a group sound session years ago but I didn’t think it was very healing for me at the time. It was more relaxing than anything. I tried reiki healing again recently in a personalized session. I was shocked that I could actually FEEL something during the session. Tingling sensations in areas, heaviness in my chest getting lighter, chills though out my body, then warmth. I closed my eyes for some parts of the session & was actually SEEING different colors during some parts of the session. I felt light immediately following the session. I’m not sure if it was because I was more open to the healing but I felt a noticeable change. I hope it can help me through this brain fog I’ve been feeling lately.
Growing up African American my Aunt and grandma use to heal the family with their hands. My mom hated hospitals and almost died refusing to go to the dr. Or tell anyone. She lost a lot if weight quickly and was throwing up blood. My aunt finally had enough. She came over prayed over her and completely healed her.

It is a great one of a kind product for discovering real Ho'oponopono techniques designed for reiki enthusiasts minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my old buddy Taylor at very last got great results with it.

Reiki is literally just 1-sided personal attention with light touching - psychological comfort is experienced when receiving someone else's focus for the intent of stress relief & physical decompression.

This seems almost like a form of therapy. I feel like this is a prime example of healing through the mind- body connection, healing the mind helps heal the body.

There is zero evidence that this does anything beyond that. There’s no evidence energy in this sense exists. It is the same human impulse that led us to all sorts of ineffective treatments throughout human history. Do it if it relaxes you. Great! But that’s it. It’s in your head. There is no physical or measurable thing that it does. It’s pseudoscience and there is a good reason governments dont fund it

I first had a Reiki session 2 years ago. I got a severe cough and I thought I'll die. I took a lot of medication but it was not working. My Reiki Master healed me through distance Reiki. I uncovered some past issues. I was able to forgive my Papa and my ex-boyfriend.
I was healed after the Reiki session. After that, I decided to study Reiki. I'm now a Reiki Second Degree and I incorporate it in my work as an HR. My co-workers are so happy.

My mom is a shaman. When you have that linage the shaman guides follow each generation down. I am convinced they are demons, because my mom used to go to church. And during a session with them they wanted her to get rid of her bible and Everything related to God. They also came to me in dreams and shadows at the corner of my eye. That’s how it starts for some people. I was scared the whole time but I was told it was normal to be scared. It was a test of the strength of your soul. Then I found God and he physically pushed them out of my house. I was not afraid anymore. If you look up shamanism it is all about spiritual healing. But beware of the lies of the devil and demons behind it. I have found God and peace and he has healed my family and I through prayer.
This is not only so beautiful, but so incredibly empowering. We can, through channeling energy, not only heal ourselves, but heal others?!! This is amazing. I have my first Reiki session on 8/6/21 and I am so unbelievably excited.

How was it?
I did three sessions already and it realy helped me. I had a trigger finger and the doctor told me that the only option is to do surgery. For some reason I choose not to do it. After the 3th session I feel completely healed with my finger. The last session was long distance. It realy worked for me. I plan to become a Reiki master.
I'm thankfull for Reiki. And it does not matter if You believe it's real or not - for me - it helped a lot to accept and love myself, and just be better human being. Love and Trust is the key ingredient, for Reiki to work for You ;) Thank You for The movie
After reaching hours of meditation I came across a hard moment in my life due to drugs. I remembered I was crawling to move or even eat. But it started coming to my thoughts all the beautiful memories I had when I was meditating. I'm now only sober but I have reached a new skill. I feel I can heal anything and I would love to help people heal specially those who unfortunately have been try spiritual fights due to drugs. When I meditate I feel heavy when I finish as if my body is getting used to this healing energy.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Reiki. I am new to it and after a 15 minute session, I left feeling relaxed and like I had slept for hours. The Reiki instructors are kind, gentle, and welcoming. It's a human connection which is so deeply needed these days. You can also literally feel the energy from the instructor or master even when they are not physically touching you. It's worth a try!

Reiki is definitely true. I was a skeptic until I went to a master who was practicing reiki for 25 years. He diagnosed everything that was wrong with me exactly. And surrounded me with this beautiful energy. I am gonna practice reiki myself

It’s so easy to learn it’s a natural instinct When you have a headache you cup your hands and place them on your head it’s comforting. I do reiki on myself to help ease anxiety days. It’s a self care Spiritual technique that you can only gain from. It’s awesome
But its not simply placing your hands over someone/yourself, its also the channeling of reiki energy. I can put my hands on my legs but If I don't channel the reiki energy the benefit is not there or atleast less than with the energy being channeled.
As a receptionist in a cork hotel, I met the lovely Mary Collins. She was a qualified physiotherapist but she worked as a reiki practitioner.
I work with a colleague, I wont mention her name for confidentiality reasons. She performed reiki on me after an acute back injury.
My understanding is that reiki is something that is opened up.

I happened upon this video after my next door neighbor shared a Reiki book with me. I'm only just getting to the second chapter but even after just following the guidance from the intro, and the first chapter, I feel like I now have some techniques for relaxing myself. I have anxiety issues and I also always have a tense limb. Whether it my my leg (around my hip area), an arm, around my shoulder area, or my upper back, I can see how this would be a great method in continuing to find ways to relax my body and learn the energy around me. I am going to try to find a place that offers Reiki hands on healing near me because I'd love to rid myself of anxiety forever. It seems a bit odd to me to jump straight to some religious argument from this beautiful video of people describing how much human touch and connection can heal a person. As for scientific evidence: it is a fact that a newborn child could have all its basic needs met and still die if it is deprived of skin contact. Is it so hard to believe that in today's age of distance, where we are physically isolated from everyone but our closest friends and family, a little touch could have positive effects on people? Creating a safe space for people to rest in awareness, safety and comfort is a very noble thing to do. As humans, we could always use more connectedness, gentleness and love.

As a Spiritual Person who has the Gift of Spiritual Cinnections and can relay messages from Spirits.. I'm also with a Healing Prayer Group where I dont feel like I'm being utilized. I have such a POWERFUL Gift that they even on day one and was amazed by what I seen that they didnt see.. but I feel like I'm always "in line" and used as a back up, always just observing.. I come and I get nothing but maybe conversation and company. When they do the Healing (the higher ups, those who's been there longer) on a person typically they close us out of the room (the little people) to do Prayer outside of the room...to "Chant" persae...which I agree is a VERY influential part of the process but again...I feel like I'm not being utilized with this Gift from GOD.
I know Gods calling me for several things such as we lost our home to a Fire last Christmas Day, having my Granddaughters & experienced kids with nothing, me & my 2 granddaughters 5 & almost 8 are foing to make Care Packages for Fire Departments (Toys for kids) during fire.
Also, I'm collecting Bibles for Prison, Addicts, and needy.
Then, My GIFTS Heart Strings are pulling me towards Reiki where I can out MYSELF to use.
Jan I'm taking a course to be a Christian Counselor for the Stephans Ministry, along with my Healing Training nd my own life experiences of trauma, and my Gifts, I believe Reiki is where I belong.
I live in a rural area where there are no Reiki Masters.. slim to zero, and I could really impact this area.
I've also thought to work with families on a Spiritual Level.. if I can get a connection AS WELL AS..
I can also e helpful to families struggling with Spritual Entities in their homes..
I have so much to offer yet I'm left standing in Mudd...o to speak

I love that videos are being posted about Reiki, but it's also important to mention how one becomes a channel for the Reiki ray. It only comes with attunements. This is how it first began in Japan. Dr. Usui is credited with the re-discovery and revival of this healing art. If one really wants to do Reiki, find a Master Teacher who is from the lineage of the founders of Reiki and requires attunements. Otherwise, it's just a different form of energy work, not actual Reiki. I've found that there are those who claim to do Reiki but have never had an attunement and believe me, there is a significant difference. Of course, it's not to say that they aren't doing good energy work, because they are, it's just not Reiki. 💚 I hope those that read this find the importance and know that I'm truly hoping for love and peace for all! 💛🌈 Walk in Beauty

@@evangelianickolas6850 an attunement is given by a Reiki teacher. This basically is putting the practitioner in tune with the Reiki ray, an initiation. Each level gets you attuned to not only the Reiki ray, but the symbols used in the sessions. Dr. Usui was attuned after his enlightening journey and was given the process and symbols to pass on.

My daughter and I are both Reiki healers. She is a Master and can initiate others into Reiki. It is an excellent way to heal. You can protect yourself as well as your property by Reiki or send healing to people far away
What makes you think that you and your daughter have Reiki, oh another point, you don't have to be a MASTER to initiate others as it is a Physical action not Spiritual as that can only be done by the Holly Spirit.

Reiki is not Spiritual, what I say is that the claims can be tested for the retention, hands over the Crown either in person or at a distant, if you cannot enter the Crown then the Affirmations used are retained however if the Crown is entered and down into the body there is no retention. Put your hands over the crown of your daughter and see where that leads you

Thank you for the lovely video and very informative as well. I had myself learned Reiki few years back and now I am looking to do a refresher so that I can restart my Reiki practice.
I few years ago when I had reached an unbarable peak of pent up energy in my body, I started to use my palms to release that energy. It was a time of much supernatural insights and events for me. A very strange period of my life. I envisioned a green laser beam shooting out straight from my palm chakras that would cut through any stored energy in my body as I swept my hands slowly and with focus over the place where I felt the energy. I would hear crying in my head and sometimes laughter and other noises as the "laser beam" made contact with the point of the energy. I believe the enrgy were spirits that inhabited my body after I had formed them by supressing my emotions for so long. Because when I had released and energy from my body the "darkness" of that spirit seemed to want to attach itself to me again with even greater tenacity. So I kept "shooting lasers" not just on my body anymore but at the entities around me aswell. I see the "laser" as a sunbeam, or an instrument of the light that I have been blessed with. And I find it interesting that the Jedi from the movie star wars have green lasers since they are the guardians of peace and light and use "the force" with their hands. Another interesting note is when you take a picture towards the sun you can see a green dot on the screen, that is the lightbeam or sunray hitting the lens and its light is actually green. I realised these things after I had started using this gift myself and noted that the intuitively green beam I envisioned was probably light focused in a ray coming from my palm chakras. I hope this doesnt come across as some psychotic rant I wonder has anyone else been given this gift? Is that what reiki is?

For all of you guys saying this is not real: You can just look up any scientific peer-reviewed study from any medical journal and see there is a vast amount of scientific proof that reiki really works. You just refuse to accept that reiki works because it does not reflect your "scientific" worldview, but yes, there is a lot of real scientific proof that reiki works. That is why it is frequently used in hospitals around the world as well, as a complementary treatment to other healthcare. Do you really think doctors and other healthcare professionals would accept it as a treatment form in hospitals if there was no scientific evidence of its efficiency? Also, why do you feel the need to put down people like that? What do you gain from that?
I grew up with my herbal mother using hand/energy healing on me and it worked for many things not all as she was not a trained professional but even a bit was a lot for me. our family seem to be a line of healers or witches depending on how one looks at us and our collection of born abilities or interests.
I heal people. Including a Doctor. But my experience is that Doctors and Hospitals don't want me around. I would hurt their bottom line. Money.
I've actually been told that. Let me know of how I can get accepted into hospital, please.

Unfortunately, in many countries, people are still very skeptical about the many benefits of reiki despite the many scientific studies that have proven reiki's effects, which leads many countries to not accept reiki in hospitals. However, some countries that have accepted the science regarding reiki, have also realized its many benefits and encourage its usage in hospitals alongside allopathic treatments, because it has been proven to help speed up recovery and to help with pain relief etc. Countries such as USA, Canada, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Japan, just to name a few, regularly use reiki in hospitals. I would suggest you to look up what is your country's legal stance regarding reiki in hospitals, and if you can find hospitals that offer reiki, you could offer them your services.

You should find suggestions on what hospitals or healthcare clinics offer reiki and I am sure if they offer reiki as part of treatment, they would be glad to talk with you. Reiki does not say that the practitioner will treat a physical disease. It’s more of working on your aura n your chakras. Harnessing the universal energy to heal your chakras, your mental n emotional state n a lot more. I am a practitioner for 20 years now. N it has definitely benefited me in so many ways.

Make sure you get your Reiki attunement from your mom. It is such a blessing to pass this healing modality through the generations. I have taught my children and hopefully one day teach my grandchildren. I wish I knew Reiki when I was a young mom.

I don't understand why people critics Reiki . Jesus demonstrate to be able to heal others. He was teaching us we can heal others and ourselves otherwise why he gave to chosen ones this power? I don't believe everyone can do this is not just a gift granted to anyone and play like you are God. You really need to be in a very high spiritual level (be a chosen one )that will give you this magnificent power of healing! I get to know Reiki a few years ago by the case. At first, I thought that was another new age technic based on only delusions, but after the practice and initiation, I've changed my mind. Reiki changed many things. I've become more calm, balanced and conscious. My mind, soul and life's get purified. The process was very hard and but it was worth.
Last weekend I've visited the place in which it's believed Reiki was conceived , Mt. Kurama near Kyoto.
