- Still at the second cut, dad was using our Fransgard RV390 hay tedder to put two 8 foot rows into one.
Meg decided that I needed my face washed and attacked me (with encouragement from dad)

That rake does a great job of bringing the 2 rows together! What mower do ye use?
The mower is a krone 8 foot with conditioner and folds up the side. Great machine!
I bought one of these yesterday, same job as you, 2 rows into one, do you keep the toplink short on it and how does that pin in the front work for transport and work position?
From memory we keep the toplink the same length but shorten the arms. Then set her down on the Jack so she keeps the same toplink length for next time. The front pin should have a rope and spring. Pull the rope to unlock, turn hard and let the spring lock it back in
How do you find it for tedding out hay?
Are the tangs the same as pz haybob
It did an ok job, the field was probably too heavy for hay. The fransgard is a fair bit heavier than the haybob and the tangs are bigger too
Was working mine today but was making a nice clean job, throwing it out on one side for some reason, any ideas.
Funny I had ours out yesterday and it was throwing some out of the right hand side, crop was just too heavy I reckon. Have you got a divider for between the two reels on the front?
Yes, l have, was told to lengthen toplink and go forward faster but engine reves lower than 540,but still throwing out at same side.
@@caragray7010 I was having the same thing and blaming the heavy crop. The reels need the tines set differently, there will be a little sticker on them to tell you tedding or raking but it's worth switching them over on the one that's throwing it out on you
They look in the same position as the side that's working well, l, ll have a closer look.
@@caragray7010 yeah, the two sides need to be in opposite positions because the reels turn the opposite ways. It caught us out too
