Many think Nunes had an off-night and will get her belt back, so more pressure is on Nunes' shoulders to not disappoint. For Nunes, anything less than a dominant performance (Lioness mauling if you prefer) will be seen as a loss. For Pena, she's heavily favoured to lose but if she has a very gutsy performance against Nunes in defeat it won't be seen as a loss. Personally, I believe if Pena can get Nunes to blow her wad again history may very well repeat itself.

@@t-man8411 Nothing is a guarantee in MMA, but I'm not counting out Pena this time. Her style while 'ugly' has shown she can make things difficult for Nunes.
I honestly feel that Julianna is a bad matchup for Amanda
There's a few parallels between Julianna Pena and Matt Serra, both were contestants on TUF who ended up winning the whole thing. Both were fighters who were considered mediocre when they got their title shots and both got them against a champion who was considered unbeatable to them. But, shockingly they both managed to do the impossible and both of their title wins are considered the biggest upsets in UFC and MMA history. There are some clear differences (Pena didn't get the title shot winning TUF like Serra did) and time will tell if Pena can replicate her performance against Nunes again when Serra could not against GSP.
Pena will finish nunes again, she beat her in all departments, nunes tried to submit her in the first round didn't work, the tried to knock her out on her feet but she couldn't, Nunes did everything but julianna refuse to lose, and finished Nunes, matt sierra just got caught GSP
I think Julianna Peña is considered a mediocre fighter only in hindsight. She’s only lost twice in the UFC, both times to women who either became or were a champion. Matt Serra was a middling fighter before and after the first GSP fight. He’s just much better known now and liked because he’s a UFC personality

A shame that's the route people have to go to deal with that house when everyone could just respect each other's space. Doesn't cost anything. But not doing so could cost you if you disrespect the wrong one.

The confidence and self believe she learned from this to the lead up to Nunes is insane.
This was a great season and made me a Peña fan. Still was shocked when she beat Nunes tho
Everyone was shocked when Pena beat Nunes, I myself was stunned speechless. Its one of the biggest upsets ever, and it wasn't a punchers chance finish where many can easily dismiss as a fluke. It was a prolonged sequence where Nunes wilted to Pena's pressure.

Shayna complained about TUF editing. She said that on week 6, they asked "What are your thoughts when you go into the fight" and they put his answer over the week 1 fight with Pena, making her look arrogant.

That girl had quite the run throughout her MMA career. Ups and downs, always the underdog, but she improved when everyone thought her career was over and retired a respected veteran. Quite possibly the most likable fighter in the sport.

I fought at regional MMA shows in my late teens and early 20’s. I never gave it my all because I was too scared to quit my job and take that giant leap. But I LOVE the sport. Still, I can NOT get behind these female “fighters” who hit so soft but think they’re badass. I cringe when I see them strut around the cage. The refs save them by stopping the fights because the blows do zero damage usually and both fighters gas out- it’s usually pure trash
Why are capping on UA-cam obviously you never participated in the sport cause you were a bum and had to keep your day job Pena accomplished more than you ever will show some respect
