Hi. It's the same noisy one. I added a little synthetic lube which quieted it down a little. It's actually the structure surrounding it which makes the most noise. I plan to build a new one which doesn't make contact.
Jeff I heard the engine make a clicking sound when it went onto the turntable I thing I did on my tracks was file down the inside part of the rail about 1/4 inch in then that stopped that action from happening I have a Walters 90 HO scale turntable
All my budget allowed for, and I don't have the skills to scratch build. Woe is me. In any case, I'm enjoying my cheap Atlas turntable. Thanks for stopping by! 😀
The Engine house will look incredible, you have to have multiple sources of light within a building to look convincing.
I was thinking I'd add a welding effect led as well.
would not an electric saw make a cleaner, more precise cut?
Precision wasn't really required here. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi, what motor are you using for the turntable? Mine is noisy but I have plastic gears, so maybe mine it old.

The Atlas turntable is WAY too small for any tender engines I'd rather make a custom one.

@@jeffsbenningtonelkhornvall2207 I understand. What I meant to say was to 3d print the turntable and to use Lego gears to motorise it.
