Excellent!! Some mods to consider -Enhanced Loan System: Loans require repayments towards principal as well as paying interest. Interest is more realistic. Repayments determined by the loan term -No Teleport: Can't tab between vehicles or pick them on the map. Enforces your no tabbing rule -Manual Attach: I know you have it on SRP, please add it here if it's not turned on!) -Dynamic Field Prices: Prevents field flipping, as well as having prices fluctuate depending on current financial situation of the owner and a "greed factor", between like -80% and +120% -Beware of Straw: Hitting a Straw swathe with the combine header takes the straw into the combine and reprocesses it. You get a fraction more grain but way less straw (it's not worth reprocessing the straw) -Crop Rotation: Rotate your crops for a yield boost... Works with Precision Farming. Grass stays at 110% yield, no need to do crop rotation on it for your Hay & Silage -Production Point Selling Fix: Removes the exploit that lets you sell to a production and then buy the production & have the materials ready to process. Also removes the limit on selling to productions Purely Cosmetic but really really nice for immersion: -Dashboard Live: Seriously... read it on modhub. You can see live information about machine status on your screens in-cab -Real Dirt series of mods (Real Dirt Color, Real Dirt Color Tracks, Real Dirt Fix, Real Dirt Particles): Driving on a limed field? You kick up white dust instead of brown, and the tractor gets white dirt on it... etc... Looking forward to the series :)
Seed purchase for each seed type used. No switching seeds types on bags. Specify what the type will be before purchase and keep that bag for that seed type. If a different crop is to be planted you need to buy another bag of seed. And you will need to unload any existing seed before loading the new.
Also, add the combine experience mod: with this mod, the speed at which you can harvest depends on the width of the header, the quality of the crop and the power of the combine
“Use my videos to fall asleep too” I’m currently in my final year of university, and your videos have been a a gentle way to relax and forget about the stress of doing my dissertation. Thank you for some of the best naps I’ve had in this extremely stressful time
The funny part is you always say you time lapse so we dont have to hear you talk all the time... You talking is the most entertaining part. Well done Sir! Thanks
i appreciate that Dagger doesn't have to talk during time lapses. poor guy would have to work hard to have things to talk about. thast said I have been watching for years now and im not sick of it ;-)
What abt Manual attach mod?? Fluctuating field prices? Auction mod?? Husbandry enhancement mod?? I’d say these will make it more realistic since prices do fluctuate and animals do make some mess when they eat Edit 1: the animal husbandry mod is called husbandry cleaning. I have found more mods for realism: Enhanced loan system - check Farmer cop’s Frontier let’s play for why this is more realistic, I think expandable pastures mod will add to realism, enhanced Animal System, manual discharge, no more auto lift, changing wages, manual wipers, lease to own, invoices, realistic animal losses, daily deductions (use this to simulate taxes)
There is also a grazing mod you can use, when animals are on pasture they eat the grass of that field just like real life. And you dont have to feed them that much
Nice start on a new series. Buy a pressure washer, so you can wash it each time you finish using it for the season before putting it away in the shed. That would increase the realisticness factor a few notches. It would be nice if there is a “crop depression” mod, that would temporarily press the crop down, when you drive over it, but it stands back up after a few real-time days with a small yield reduction relative to neighboring crop, if it is still growing. Crops in real life has some spring-back to them and with continued growth, some ability to stand up completely, but with some of a setback in growth height.
Yes, this should be good! Also Manual attach and Interactive Control would make this series super immersive, and be a throwback to fs 15 Knaveswell times.
Daggerwin on a game: “No lifting pallets with the bale spike, this is the realistic series” Me IRL: if I make this bale spear like this, I can just use it to feed hay AND move pallets. 😂😂
Great start Daggerwin. This is a grass map primarily. I suggest doing as many contracts as you can to cover as much of this beautiful map as possible. This will also allow you to "borrow" and experience equipment that otherwise miss out on. If there ever was a map that "third person" view is a requirement; it would be this one. Here for the long haul and going to enjoy every moment. Forget, the nay sayers. They are not farmers and never will be.
Good choise of map! Some stunning views on this one. There are a few sharp bumps on some of the fields around the farm, but nothing that a bit of landscaping won't fix. And a few suggestions for mods to use: Rounder wrapped bales. Makes the edge of round silage bales more round. Looks way better. Automatic Milksale. An imaginary milktruck picks up your milk every morning. The wait to sell all the milk at once when the price is the best is quite disgusting, since milk is a fresh produce. Enhanced Loan System. You decide how much you want to loan and how many years you want to pay of the debt, with added interest. Enhanced Mixerwagon. Takes about two minutes to mix the feed in the wagon instead of it being mixed to perfection instantly. Lease To Own. Simple, you only lease what you intent to buy. Makes it more fun and challenging. Realistic Cab View. Makes it look like you acually turn around when in first person view, instead of looking like you spin around on a spinning chair. Good luck with the series!
I'm just saying btw in real life, u wouldn't really use bale spikes for rapped bales cuz the bales would go mouldy, so i think u should change the bale spikes for a bale squeeze
Great idea being realistic, just some thoughts. You don´t use a balespike on non fermented bales. No one would tape every bale. Headland is usually 24m, so if somthing is 4m you go 6 laps, if 8m you go 3 laps etc.
Great start to a new series! Can’t wait to see how this one progresses along. One suggestion is upgradable productions. This allows you to increase the capacities and production rate of any production. Seems realistic as any factory will look to increase production all the time. Keep up the good work and love your vids!
Great new series DW. For a little more realism, not sure if the sale points would be open at just gone 7pm. Some dealers around where I live do stay open in summer until about 6pm but normally 5pm is the norm and even earlier in winter! just a thought! Anyway, looks like the start of a great series!👍
You can't use bail spikes on wrapped bails unless your moving them to the feeding area because any bails that aren't sealed will spoil if left to ferment with holes in it, you need to get something to move the bails gently
@@Daniel_178 Taping should be used for emergency fixes only, they do not seal as well. Also, you have intentionally allowed air to enter into the wrapped bale, and will lose quality
I personally like to play with the zone markers on. Not only do i know exactly what they ae all for, but I like that blue glow from all of them at night. Happy farming.
LOVE the premise of this series! really not too bothered about either the zone markers or a strict 1st person policy.. there's a neat little mod called "Extended Game Info Display" which adds a bunch of information to the top right HUD like temperature etc.. can't wait for more! also: having 2 (or more) days per month makes it a bit easier and realistic in case you get rained out etc, you don't have to do all monthly tasks in one day
Also some realistic mod suggestions from me are the lubrication grease mod whwre all tractors and tools need grease in them if not they'll get damaged. And also realistic cab view might be useful especially if you're doing more in cab driving in this series.
That mower is called a grouper so if u don't have a rake u put the back bit down and u mow and it puts it into 1 big row ans u put the rows into 1 big one like a rake so u don't have to go buy a rake if ur doing silage but if ur doing hay u get a rake obviously. Daggerwin put the grouper on the back down if ur only doing silage 👍👍
While not a perfect 1:1 recreation of the area, the mapper has definitely managed to get the feeling of the northern Irish countryside. It feels very much like my childhood
Hey daggerwin, was going to suggest this wonderful map! I wanted you to know (since this is the realistic series) that in Ireland they don’t tend to drill crops apart form grass and green cover becuase they get Heavy amounts of rain each year that’s is why it’s best to do hay/silage because the rain doesn’t kill the crops aswell as you don’t have to harvest in the rain. love The content-Jack
Oh, in for a treat with this series, I can tell that already! 🤩 Tiny detail, but dropping wrapped bales on the go would damage a lot of bales. With the great netting feature, the time it takes for the baler to net the bale could be used to unload the wrapped bale whilst standing still. As I said, tiny detail, but that's how I would do irl. 😊
Oh this one's going to be good! I loved that map, it reminded me of my 20 years living on Uist in the outter hebrides. Its quicker to get to the shop if you turn left out of the farm and not the right scenic route. Looking forward to more.
I am totally here for this series, realistic is always the most fun, Good luck on this one, with traffic and the size of those roads, your gonna need it, LOL
If you are picking up bale wrap from the shop you will need a vehicle to transport it, also in the interest of realism do the sheep and cattle barns have fields attached for natural grazing maybe something the map maker forgot. Has the map maker set aside commercial lots of land in town for productions so you dont have to stuff up farm land with them
One thing I do for wrapped bales, I’ve got some modified forks for my loader to catch around the bottom so I can pick them but that’s a Saskatchewan thing I learned
Great start to the new series! I'm looking forward to the more realistic approach, where every step you take has real consequences to the farm (and your farmer's bank account!).
Can't wait to see where this series goes it looks like you can do anything you want as far as size goes until the yard but yeah thank you for all the great content my friend
A realistic series and not even 5 minutes in there's already a floating deer lol! (3:16 -ish, to the left of the trailer) I _am_ looking forward to the whole thing though. Kinda wish there weren't so many tractors, I just don't see a two-person (owner + worker) farm ever stockpiling that many, and perhaps a smaller farmstead, but it is what it is.
With what you said about a car/runaround, you could use the land rovers you have on survival roleplay (either Dennis's old one or wyn's in different configurations), would really be in keeping with the theme of the map rather than whizzing about on a motorbike lol
there is also a mod that starts you in first person mode but you can switch to third if you want, it starts in first when you enter or switch vehicles ;-) cheers m8 great vid
You have plenty of grass areas outside the fields so you should do all 3 with crops and turn that big strip between the fields into a 4th field for your grass.
I had just started playing this map today myself, I am from Northern Ireland where this map is based albeit I am from Belfast, though my sister has a holiday apartment in Portrush which isn’t far away from the Fairhead cliffs. If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, some of the filming of the “Kings Road” was also nearby
Great video on a very pretty map! I’ve found that driving around in 1st person view on pretty maps is much better on open top tractors as it lets you take in so much more
Actually it would be realistic to use pallet forks for wrapped bales, just put the forks under the curve of the bale (IRL anyway). People even do that with regular unwrapped hay bales, I've seen it done and done it myself once.
Don´t watch your Videos to fall asleep, but I do watch them before I go to sleep, they help me Calm Down from Stressfull Days since you´re calm and collected most times, where as for example DJGoHam that I watch too is always super hectic and loud.
Realistic Cab View is another cool mod for a series like this - lets you lean over in the cab, and you can't spin your head in the same direction over and over!
I feel very exposed right now xD when you said "if people use your videos to fall asleep to", it's not something I specifically set out to do, it just sort of happens especially after a work day or worse when my 4yr old has had a bit too much sugar, as bedtime usually is the only time a day I realistically have time to watch UA-cam 😅
That will be qreat series I like first person wiev playing and not jumping between machines and of course possibility to sleep sometimes 😂😂, just keep the time-lapses as minimum please. Thanks a lot Daggerwin
I am really looking forward to this series daggerwin, on a different note I was just going through my subscription page and saw I'm still subscribed to Dennis Jenkins Vlogs from survival roleplay, blast from the past
A great start of the series! A suggestion - not allowed to go to the store from you’re keyboard, only allowed to visit it, by driving to it. - not allowed to see how the animals are doing, only when you are at them, and can see it there. I also agree on multiple of the mods suggested, would make it way more realistic 🙏🏼
im not sure if you have commented on it yet, but running with no HUD would add to the realism, having to manually look at your dash to see if you need fuel an learn the map of the top of your head, that sort of thing
Daggerwin, I don’t know if you knew this but the gates/doors on the shed across from the workshop and the one the other side it can be opened, I found those sheds very useful in my save game for pallets and small equipment
Funny you said to those who use video to fall asleep too , I may be one of them , I can remember what episode I was on when I fell asleep so I just go back when I'm awake and watch them again .
One suggestion would be to ensure you store seeds away from any chemicals or water sources and also chemicals/fertilisers are kept in a storage with doors and away from any water source or run off areas.
You should come up with a penalty system for property damage. Realistically, nudging the doorway with a bale that size could bend sheet metal on the building. Dont know if thats possible but would be cool. Great video, as always 👍
Excellent!!

im not sure if you have commented on it yet, but running with no HUD would add to the realism, having to manually look at your dash to see if you need fuel an learn the map of the top of your head, that sort of thing
Daggerwin, I don’t know if you knew this but the gates/doors on the shed across from the workshop and the one the other side it can be opened, I found those sheds very useful in my save game for pallets and small equipment
One episode in and this is already my favourite series.
25:18 He's on to us 🤣
i agree i always understood unless the camera is on they cant see threw the screen.
LIES THEY TELL US!!!
man i love the set up of the buildings! where they put that way by the mapper or did you put them on the land yourself? very organized! love it!
Love seeing you going back to realistic play style
Excellent work this is going to be a good series
daggerwin i love the way your doing a realistic episode
I wonder how realistic will be... 😂😂 One thing I request no jumping to vehicles😂😂😂
good to hear dag saying about you can watch the vid to fall asleep 😂
Funny you said to those who use video to fall asleep too , I may be one of them , I can remember what episode I was on when I fell asleep so I just go back when I'm awake and watch them again .
icl the only reason i got fs22 is because of u. also u make it really satisfying idk why
Looking forward to this one😀
rain pain, manual attach, manual refuelling and realistic refuelling are some mods i think you should use
One suggestion would be to ensure you store seeds away from any chemicals or water sources and also chemicals/fertilisers are kept in a storage with doors and away from any water source or run off areas.
I have seen a john deere just like that but it was a 8245R 2000's tractors are the best👌
You should come up with a penalty system for property damage. Realistically, nudging the doorway with a bale that size could bend sheet metal on the building. Dont know if thats possible but would be cool. Great video, as always 👍
Loving this, looking forward to more!
Wow😍😍😍😍😍 The light on this map is stunningly beautiful
Please keep on interactive markers, helps people like me understand why you do certain things and put stuff in certain places. :)
Many farmers use cultivators as plows technically. In America they call them rippers. Pretty cool.
Rounder Wrapped Round Bales os very good for makint the roundbales more realistic.😁
