- Today I got a real BOMB ass record for y'all!
"Dank, Drank' & Draws" is one of handful unreleased tracks recorded by CPO Bogg Hogg, durning his time as a Death Row inmate. Made in 1994 and produced by Sean 'Barney Rubble' Thomas the song was recorded for never completed CPO debut solo album at Death Row Records. It was laying in the infamous Death Row vault along with the rest of previously unreleased material for over 20 years... now we can finally hear it!

I noticed he changed his rap style after BOAM.
I've listened to this several dozen times after finding him. I spent weeks looking for who did the "formulate a caper" verse in Picture Me Rollin'. I think maybe the reason he wasn't given more recognition is that he's a million times more complex than a lot of mainstream artists, in terms of vocabulary, rhyme, etc. He never says something simple directly when he can put his own little spin on it. "Got the pockets on swollen", "suffering from lack of having paper", or in this track, "10 percent coke, and ninety percent yak ... And what'd they get ... A hundred percent fucked up." You have to listen to it a couple of times just to figure out what is going on. I wish he had had a longer, fuller career so we could enjoy more of it.

Suge was a great executive, but he dropped the ball on alotta acts. CPO, Jewell, OFTB and Danny Boy should've all put albums out, even after Dr. Dre left. They still had the in-house production, so that all those acts could've blew up.

If you bought cds in the 90s, you're familiar with Sean "Barney Rubble" Thomas name in the production credits of all those Death Row albums. This song would've been right at home on the Above the Rim or Murder Was the Case soundtracks.

I talked to CPO about a week ago about this track.He told me along with Fleetwood Mac & several others it was suppose to have been destroyed when he left the label.He honestly didn't like it when he first recorded it back in 1994 because he said he was still trying to find his style back then & he considers this not one of his best.
Your right - me and CPO are buddies and he told me the same thing, but thank god he didn't restroy those records, lol :D
