    This was a great interview! I don't often meet younger moms who are so grounded yet lean into a clean lifestyle.

    Outsourcing things is not always possible for low income families
    Would love an episode on creative ways to fix problems in motherhood that don’t = spending money to solve problem ❤

    Some people need a lot of friends and some only need a few. I love people but get overwhelmed with a lot of social expectations. I have a couple of close friends and that’s perfect for me. Just wanted to put it out there that we’re all different and it’s ok to know what type of person you are socially. I’m also a homebody and enjoy trips but usually look forward to going home too, Lisa! 😆❤️

    This loneliness is not unique to “homeschool, crunchy Moms”. I believe it’s a universal problem. People/families/mom’s Dads do not know how to connect anymore. Connections are all around, but the lack of how to connect beyond introduction is lacking.

      We lost connection in general specially women ! We need as feminine beings a tribe to support us ❤😊

    My mental block is the learning of new skills. Once it becomes second nature it will be so much easier. But when every meal or loaf of bread is strictly followed from a recipe it becomes a big deal, when you are learning everything it seems overwhelming

      @aloras405 3 місяці тому +2

      So focus on one new skill or recipe at a time. Don’t try to learn everything all at once.

      I agree...just focusing n one new skill or one new recipe at a time until it is second nature will help.

    I love these perspectives on motherhood and values. They are wonderful to hear. Fear is viewed as a motivator for some decisions where families circled the wagons especially after the C. But I look at it more as people received a wake up call and had to take a good look at their lives, priorities, safety and future. My daughter is making some decisions right now that some may look at as “panic”-very life changing for their family of 5. However I’m rejoicing because I feel like God is lining her thought processes up and organizing her priorities in the most beautiful way. And I’m watching her countenance visibly change and she’s glowing. She’s shedding worldly expectations, material obligations and typical parenting methods and going with her gut, which she’s forming with prayer. Rather than letting fear rule her, she’s allowing the awareness of the danger of real issues to give her motivation to explore other options. Women my age didn’t realize we had other options. Going against the tide wasn’t done very often. Options exist now that can empower people to take back their families. I applaud all those that heed their instincts and make changes.

    Another view about food is that it is not GOOD or BAD, it is neutral. We give it way too much power and confusion to our moral compass when it should not be in a "moral" category at all! That helped me alot.

    Thanks for the encouragement! I am a connecter and a hoster but always worry I’m going to overwhelm people but it’s good to be reminded that people are waiting to get connected ❤

    This is a really good episode. I have extremely high anxiety about food. This was a good reminder it’s ok to not be extremely perfectionist about it.

    I agree, there is no one size fits all approach especially when it comes to motherhood. I believe you just have to figure out what works for you, be patient and intentional about finding it. Thanks for another beautiful podcast Lisa❤

    I loved the part of this talking about the being sociable and going out to places. The whole "Mom's Brunch" was SO SO cute. It is something I'd love too. Aw.
    Great conversation. I liked the talk about the foods at the very end too.

    I so needed this conversation ❤️ I am definitely someone who struggles with feeling like I “should” be doing something because this other person is or this person I see online is. It absolutely is about balance and finding what works for you and your family.

    i loved this podcast, so refreshing! Thanks for sharing Lisa. Meg has a great and inspiring view on things and I'm definitely going to check her blog/instagram out.
    Nowadays i find it really rare to hear people talk about such a balanced approach to life and not all being black and white, so appreciated you both for that, as i have always shared this view too.

    I’m a senior woman that wonders why I’m watching this. What is crunchy? When I was a young woman I was an extrovert but life has made me an introvert wanting to burst out again.

    • @valeriya105

      “Crunchy” is a term used for a mom that is health conscious toward what food, body and home products she buys. While that can be overwhelming the point is balance and trying to eliminate toxins as much as possible for a child’s proper development 😊

  • @elbeachy
    @elbeachy 3 місяці тому +1

    Weird question. Can someone please tell me the definition of a “crunchy mom”?
    I’m not a young mother, so maybe I’m just out of the loop! 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @caitlinhanson8631
      @caitlinhanson8631 3 місяці тому +2

      It is more of a newer term I believe, it refers to the kind of person who tends to make their own foods and cleaning products from scratch, avoid non-organic, buy or make natural things rather than buying things that contain toxins, basically just someone who is natural minded/health conscious/"earth friendly "
