Tanjiro actually didn't beat him on his own. It was a major group effort with Tamayo weakening Muzan enough that he doesn't slaughter everyone along with the Hashira who had to fight him for a long time until the sun came up. In no way shape, or form could Tanjiro have done it on his own.
id like to point out, nezuko is the reason any demon slayer that survived is alive, as she was base for the cure, and the cure was one of the 4 poisons used on muzan to weaken him allowing him to be killed, she also got in front of tanjiro and as she had been cured, and technically was the cure, tanjiro drinking her blood above all allowed for more of the cure to be added to what kanao also injected

Especially since he was turned into the new dk, he would have endless amounts of power and being a demon slayer may take away some, but he’d end the line of demons which would cause an overthrow in demonizing, sending those demons or spirits to hell almost immediately and having them become the demonic fairytales today, they just roam hell, until they find an exit that leads them to being a demon (Scary myth shit) or reincarnated.

Tanjiro is immune to the sun so he cant be killed with a nichirin sword so cant nezuko because she became immune to the sun later on too but she did turn back to human so did tanjiro (i gave all the spoilers by accident lol)
