It’s just as emotional for us Jess as it is for you. I’ve been watching since you announced that you were pregnant with Lilia and you were in high school. You were my real life 16 and pregnant (even though the show is “real” too, but they don’t show everything on the show). You showed everything. The real real. The ups, the downs…the marriages, the divorce, the preganancies, the moving on, figuring out life, if you wanted to go to school, if you didn’t. You showed everything. This is a really big milestone. I’m so happy for you both!
I started watching your videos right before Lilia started Kindergarten!! It’s so crazy that she’s in high school now! How?! I also just stepped from teaching the preschool Sunday school class at my church and recently found out that one of my first students I had is now a senior in high school!! I couldn’t believe it!
I had 3 kiddies years ago now I have grandkids. I cried when my son got his drivers license. He was the oldest but it made feel good that they turned such mature adults. It’s my grandkids who make me cry now. My oldest just started 5th grade and the next to youngest started 1st. Then lots more after that. It’s hard but in a happy way!! ❤

Have been watching since the twins were born and it has been so special to see her grow up! I have a choir and regularly have kids stay 5 - 10 years, thus seeing them grow up. I actually love this stage where they are between childhood and adulthood. It is so fun to have conversations with them and see them grow into their own character.

How do you get thru a child turning 18.... you secretly go off and have a cry! It's the only way to do it!!! But the day before their birthday make a big fuss, take just them somewhere new and celebrate their life! ❤
No it does not get easier! Just wait till they leave the house for ever. That's the hard one. I am lucky and my oldest lives in a tiny house on my property with his wife. You build tiny homes for each one and put them on your property or buy more land so everyone can live on it and have space. That's kinda what I did but only one stayed out of 3.

I dropped my Lily off for 1st Day of High School a few weeks ago and I was waiting to see how you handled this day for Lilia. To answer you question as to what you go do?!? Go on a cruise with the ladies. Go get some goats you need them anyway for all that grass you have now. Go to the casino at 9am. Meet some OLD OLD ladies and become friends with them it will be one of the best life choices ever. You will feel so much younger too! Pick up some silly hobbies like stalking Hobby Lobby. Oh and the Starbucks is Yucki mom hack: YES get the water but ADD STAWBERRIES! Thank me later. Ok. Let's go cry over Lilia and my Lily and share this crazy moment. 4 year til college, Jess!!!! 😂😢❤

Me sat really confused in the UK as our kids start high school in year 7 at (11 years) and I thought I’m sure Lillia is 14.. then I remembered your system is different. To be honest it is probably safer having kids starting high school at 14 as our schools are so big and scary to the year 7’s going from a nurturing smaller primary school . Trust me my sons 25 and 23 and they need me more now than high school 😅😅😅does get easier my daughter in her second year high school ... if anything gets more fun as they age !!!
