I'm in literal tears!!! I grew up going here with my mama. I was a little girl on Saturday tearing up those pancakes, and I think the lady's name is Linda.
Man... Don't nobody cook a really good down-home country style breakfast anymore but that hash loooked good and well cooked. Tell me what that smashed sausage patty tastes like? I'm hungry 😢
That use to be the Olympic Cafe, it was a asian family business, father ran the grill and daughter ran the tables and counter. The pancakes were everything. Hello Joni!
I love when people say that regular breakfast food is considered a “down home country breakfast” Sausage and bacon and eggs and pancakes is just breakfast. Yeah it’s good. But don’t say it’s a southern style breakfast.
So many unrecognized & hardly mentioned anywhere; that what makes these small mom pops restaurants so worth Appreciate how u spend the time trying and expressing their unique menus - hope I get to try there but I live a little far from LA but still in LA county.
I love food that actually looks like someone’s Black grandma made it in their home kitchen!🤣😊 I’m not really one that needs food to look “pretty”, I just need it to be tasty! 😋
I grew up a few blocks from there. We were at the laundromat next door every Saturday. Peeked through the glass but we never went in. Glad to see that it is still going strong!
The hours make sense to me. It’s enough time to let enough people eat, but not so much that it wears out the chef and all the workers. More energy to really put some love into the food and service.
This is the kinda place that when get your order, you order some takeaway for that 11pm "Oh, for another bite of that luscious goodness." And there you have it.
Omg I love THIS style of content for you. I've tried watching other videos but I just couldn't get down with the over the top messy loud unsteady camera work content. But this is nice.
My guy. If you like old school places, go to Pie N Burger in Pasadena. I’m from Tennessee, only been to LA once, but I still think about that place. Good cheeseburger and fries, they make Coke the old school way, and then get a slice of blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream.
There’s a place called Kountry Folks that used to be amazing! After the new management took over it got rough. Sad because most of my family memories were going there after Mass or before my pops would take us to the zoo or something. Really wished it kept its charm. They even filmed a couple episodes of The Office there.
There is a place in Palm Beach Florida called greens pharmacy. They still have an old fashioned lunch counter- they make the best breakfasts and cheeseburgers. It’s been there forever.
My uncle used to take me to this spot in the city of Bell, that had $1 breakfast. It was pretty good. Eggs, Hash Browns, Sausage, & Toast if I remember well. Not bad for $1. I just don't remember the name of the place & location. Not sure if it's still there. This was 20 years back in 2004. R.I.P Uncle Mark🙏 I miss you dearly😞
It’s crazy that these quick-whammy type restaurants that don’t even operate for pass 6 daily hours can maintain that bottom line money wise. Like what’s the balancing line between being closed and saving operating costs, but making money while you’re open. Dope to see, shit look FLIGHT too. Their demand goes crazy I bet💯 not giving the ppl the luxury to pull up 24/7🔥
Food has to be good. I could literally see every piece being crushed between his teeth, the sliding spit as he spoke, even got a GREAT view of him swallowing that buttery flavorful food. 🔥
I used to eat at that place when I was like 6 years old for years my step pops used to take me there then we go bowling at the Midtown skating rink later to be known as World on wheels same hours back then
These small places. Always have the best food. Off the grid.
Always!😊
Yes! 😋
Well say good bye to them with democrat politics. They are all struggling
@@nachc6459You really had to bring politics into a clip about a restaurant? Lol go cry about it to your orange daddy 😂
Most times they have better prices than McDonalds etc overall too
I'm in literal tears!!! I grew up going here with my mama. I was a little girl on Saturday tearing up those pancakes, and I think the lady's name is Linda.
The old restaurants be the hidden jewels
Those are usually the best breakfast spots! 😍
I've been to small restaurants and they have the best food
Love these old school diners
Went there 30 years ago. They still taste just as good now as they did back then. The place is still the same as back then.
How do you know if you went 30 years ago?
@@leataylor9277I’m assuming because he has went back since? Maybe a bit of common sense
@@logankeaton3811 No. common sense says “Went there 30 years ago”. Didn’t say “Went there last week”. Duh 🙄🤡😒
@@leataylor9277 so you just like being corny for no reason, huh? 3 emojis in a UA-cam comment you trying way too hard bro.
@@MyName-jm8ol Corny? Here’s your 3 emojis to that 🤭😂🤣
Used to eat there all the time. Glad there still going. GOOD breakfast food, and the ToGo window on the side is ALWAYS busy too. 😋
I’ve been here before. He ain’t lying, They WILL lock the door.
They close when they close and that’s it! That’s how restaurants need to be these days like it use too before 90% of ppl stop cooking
Good looking quality food!!
Man, thanks for this video! Everything looked harty and delicious! Plz, keep posting.
Man I see this place all the time but never went, I’m glad you went so I can know what’s up! Definitely gonna check this place out now good looks 💯
Man... Don't nobody cook a really good down-home country style breakfast anymore but that hash loooked good and well cooked. Tell me what that smashed sausage patty tastes like? I'm hungry 😢
Real food! Looks delicious. We need more independent, home style restaurants like in the past.
Looks delicious!!! Breakfast my favorite meal!! And Latryguy makes it look even more delicious!
Hey!!! I've been there!! Everything is good!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
That place looks great. Places like that always have the best food.
😂😂😂 I can feel the love through the phone...Pancakes looks delicious 😋
Yes just get there before 12 because they don’t like people getting there close to closing.
Those type of spots be tasting the best
Best buttermilk pancakes in LA

I went to the place as child all the time!!! Good to see you doing a review of them, glad they still cooking it up good back there
Syrup on everything! It all looks amazing but that burger is insane❤
Really good spot. They serve linguiça. Have you tried Jack's Family Kitchen on Western? Another hood-certified classic.
Yummy 😋
That burger looks good, hell, everything looks good!
Looks good 😊
That use to be the Olympic Cafe, it was a asian family business, father ran the grill and daughter ran the tables and counter. The pancakes were everything. Hello Joni!
Want an out of this world experience? Go to this place again and order the chicken teriyaki with fried rice. 10/10
Just looking at your food makes me hungry
Food is Love✨️
I love hometown spots like that ❤🎉

Yuck
I don't get pouring sugar on everything! That's ridiculous! Why not pour hot sauce on your desert, also!
I always pass by there when i go for a run. Now is the time to go try it
I love when people say that regular breakfast food is considered a “down home country breakfast”
Sausage and bacon and eggs and pancakes is just breakfast.
Yeah it’s good. But don’t say it’s a southern style breakfast.
This place looks good but it doesn't look like anything special lol. You can get the same thing at IHOP. But i do like supporting small buisnesses.
So many unrecognized & hardly mentioned anywhere; that what makes these small mom pops restaurants so worth

Yo Kev there's a breakfast spot in Whittier, Jack s diner 1930s the pancakes with fruit, Greek omelet 💣💥🔥
Great breakfast spot. Been here for years. The lady dad and mom use to own it and it has not changed.
This is the kinda place that when get your order, you order some takeaway for that 11pm "Oh, for another bite of that luscious goodness." And there you have it.
I love taking deliveries for places like this

This is how I always choose my Chinese restaurants. When it's not looking too fancy on the outside, the food is very good on the inside.
Can find that same vibe in Northern Wisconsin. We all together
I always wanted to try this place thank you.

Classic spot bro. Been going there since the 90’s
Also for real though try yucca valley breakfast spot in paradise. ❤
In South Philly, we have one of those spots called Good Morning Breakfast... So good! Best value breakfast ever!!! 😊
Been going since 94 ; favorite spot
Use to go here with my momma sometimes I miss her🕊️
I salute you bro you are a trendsetter ever since you started popping everybody wants to taste food from all over salute bro
The small independent restaurants are always the best!
Looks so good ❤

Them cash only breakfast spots that open early and close early have the best food 😋
Places that close early…food is always bussin. They shit so good they don’t need to stay open all day. And it’s usually mom and pop spots
Don Lemon is killing it. Definitely luv the channel 💯💯💯💯

Love it!!!!! A nice Japanese breakfast 🥰
Burgers for breakfast?😂 Sounds and looks Scrumptious.😋👍🍔

Syrup on the breakfast sausage is a must for me. I have to try it on the hashbrowns!
I love small spots like that. The food is made with love
That bun to patty ratio is fly 👍
When a place has a short operating window like that 9-10 times the foods amazing
Their breakfast is Gooood!
They have some of the best pancakes in LA, love their spam and eggs
Bro ive been going to this place since i was a kid the owner Linda is a gem
Thank you for sharing. I’m not too far away
Can't be more old school 🍻🍻

Syrup on hash browns is wild.

This looks like a smaller version of the pantry cafe. I miss that place
Tasting the love in every bite is some serious shit. I rather go to a place like this than any fine dining or fancy restaurant.
