Short TP targets, long SL targets. I hate high win strategies because it looks good in the short to medium term but bad in the long and hard to measure that it is maintaining it's edge. I think a good strategy is when there is 50% win rate, 2:1 reward/risk ratio and you can look at every month in it's history, find out it's worst state, find out it's best and monitor it month by month to see if it follows.

I highly advocate trading a portfolio, as represent a team, where if one player is underperforming, another player will be outperforming and carrying the load.

    Creat content, thank you!
Can you explain how to create a new indicator that internally uses and references other indicators like the stochastic, MACD ?

There are limited ways to reference other indicators, like the lowest value of indicator some bars ago, etc.
to fully do what you asking, unless you can program in Java, then you can't do it in the current version of SQX.
Of course other platforms like Tradestation have that pinned down, and you can do all sort of stuff because they have full development environment.

HI Ali, To my understanding the win rate is win/total trade, the win/loss ratio is win/lost, if a win rate is 93% how can you have a 0.13 W/L ratio?

Hi SG, you are correct, win rate is number of winning trades divided by total number of trades. Win/Loss ratio is number of winning trades divided by number of losing trades.
I don't know what the 0.13 is, so I have to watch my video :)

8:50 unfortunately, that's 90% of the mql5 marketplace. Would be good if you could import ex4 into strategy quant x to do monte carlo tests but metaquotes would probably never allow it.

@@StatOasis Your channel deserves more viewers. There's So much bad info out there on youtube. I just watched a channel where a guy was using fibonacci by itself and claiming it would work on everything with "magic" 61.8% retracement. I said to him "The banks move the price in forex, why would the banks purposely line up the price at exactly 61.8% retracement level to satisfy specifically your indicator on every currency pair"?

      greatly appreciated.
I think if you can program it and it is robust, then a lot of money will be behind it. No hedge fund trade fibonacci, and they have all the tools, talent, and money so that says it all.
Of course I can bring any chart on any time frame and I can show you retracement that line up with fib, but can you consistently make money with it? if so, how about a backtest on 10 instruments?
