I used to watch this low-budget gospel show on Sunday mornings in Chicago, as a teenager. What was that crazy white boy doing watching that? It made me appreciate great music. Don't remember seeing the Staples though. But maybe 30 years later I remember seeing Pops Staples at a south Loop Chicago restaurant. RIP Pops.

Holy crap, I knew I recognized him but it was so hard to tell - atleast until the zoom in shot at the end, tho even then I wasn't sure if that was really who I was spotting cause I'd never heard him in combination with something as funky as the staple singers. What a man!
