Epic elevators.
***** Thanks. Such a shame about the inner doors though. They really ruin a LOT
Very nice lifts, the first one has that characteristic wire reinforced glass. That's what they used before the days of tempered glass. The second lift could use a bit of TLC, the woodwork of the doors could be beautifully restored if the repair the trim around the window and give it a new coat of varnish. I wonder if the fixtures on the second lift have been replaced in the 70's.
dykodesigns2yt Those fixtures have been replaced in the 70s or 80s. Also the controller have been replaced at the same time with a more advanced one with full memory.
TLC: Tender love and care, i.e. term they often refer to about the restauration of classic cars. Basically a good service done by a devoted mechanic who appreciates the old, classic engineering.
Wow very nice elevator! The interior doors are not original? Was there an earlier manual gate?
251Aloha Both were without inner doors originally. Siemens, Thrige, Titan and FIscher & Ravn have all built innerdoorless elevators since the 1930s. It is soo sad they have added those horrible boring inner doors to these elevators :(
Yeah really really nice elevator.
The 1959 lift is very quick ?
Are the inner doors on the first elevator original?
Mattyeah101 No. They have been installed in the late 1990s
Heritage Elevators I thought they looked a little out of place, at least they move quickly and close when you press the button, not like those horrible folding doors in the second lift, I really dislike those.
Mattyeah101 Same here! They just look so awful
Inner doors didn't exist in 1959
Why are. They didn't get rid of them.
Too cheap for that old elevator non auto locked isn't. Unlikely that elevator gone fail being going to stuck between with it!
Why are They didn't get rid of them and how ride them that almost 50 or 60 years old
