Thanks Scott, 100% agree getting out when it's grim is a challenge. Living near Leeds I can relate so much. James P is so down to earth, excellent advice in his vids. Keep up the excellent work
Really nice video Scott! The weather has been so poor lately and it’s made it easy to say I won’t go out with the camera today. I think I need to make more of an effort.
@ I do agree that getting your photos printed adds another dimension to the process which is very satisfying. I’m also a fan of James’ channel, he usually has something interesting to say about photography that I hadn’t necessarily thought of before.
Another great video. I have one photo book right now, Ansel Adams 400 photographs. Taking notes and trying out ideas. I love the idea of printing, that is the one piece of equipment I think I do need. I am looking to do some printing and stare at my photos a bit more. My wife had similar feedback when I made a photobook for a relative of hers, the photos looked better in print 🙂. As always you are on the right track. Enjoy the process. Peace
Printing adds another creative dimension to your work, as well as a learning curve and challenges. Wish you the best on your extended journey and look forward to your follow-up vids. IMO, you’ve arrived at a new plateau when you get antsy when not making images - the reverse of excuses to not go out. Ever contact local property owners to get on-site photo permission? They likely have stories to tell and could welcome your offer to illustrate their properties. Cheers!
Excellent video Scott, you have inspire me to get that photography book done. Thank you!
James Popsys, Thomas Heaton and Teo Crawford are my biggest inspirations here on youtube, Courtney Victoria is another honorable mention. Good video!
All of them plus Samuel Streetlife and most recently Hannah Young.

Thanks so much! I think there's probably plenty of us in the same boat. It's definitely always worth the effort though!

There's a fine line between banal and beautiful with this style of photography.
