Not commented on a video in a long time but still watched every single one and I must say I absolutely loved these videos and all the insight into the clubs! Gonna have to get myself fitted again after watching them!
I notice a very strong right hand grip, that'll explain the left miss. I was exactly the same for a while, suffered with the hooks/over draw. Try weakening that right hand and watch it straighten you up, also a strong grip de-lofts the club which could also explain the low ball flight. Love the content guys, keep it coming 👌👍
100% the same for me. I was overly strong on the right hand and in my first lesson it was pointed out to me. I'm by no means a fantastic golfer but changing this up it made a massive difference to my ball direction.
Another fantastic video lads! shout out to Jay for not over complicating the fitting, look forward to seeing you out on the courses hitting some good shots now Tubes👍🏼
I love seeing you learn little tips and tricks from the fitting, mate. Will help your game no doubt, picking up some good info myself! Hope you enjoy your new bats sir.
Hi guys tubes I had my golf fitting last yr.. loved it. Yep ya 7i will go about 175yr mine dose, the new clubs will add 30yr to 40yrs to ya game. Again wedges I agree 58 or 50 or 54 is a great shout.. putters again I agree much better than ones good choice pat.. maybe bring that other hand round abit?? Looks a great set of clubs tho You’ll definitely gain more confidence. My next thing is a new 3w and hybrid.. all the best guys golf life
Very nice bag you’ve put together, Pat! With you smashing that 7 iron 170 I’d be interested to see your gapping now…definitely worth doing a gapping session before you take them on the course, otherwise I can see you smashing it through quite a few greens on their first outing 💪🏼
Great to see you gain confidence in the fitting process Tubes, good for golfers to see the value of a good fitter. What shaft went into the Cobra irons?
I tried these recently Tubes, ended up going with the Cobra forged tecs, the LTD's seemed to go miles and it threw my gapping out. great content, and good luck with the new irons
@@covlad2009 absolutely love them, I didnt get one length but I’ve found I’ve been hitting it straighter and longer with the forged tecs and they look great behind the ball
Only 5 strikes into the video, you are so much more balanced in your follow through with your irons. Really looking forward to seeing you teeing off V Ange with your new clubs
That’s going to be an interesting gapping session video!…. 7 iron is carrying 170yds, 5 wood 185yds. Be interested in how the 5i, 6i & hybrid are going to fit in there!
@@unshavengamer5542 I was hoping he was going to go for the Titleist as had a better decent angle and would get much better options on gapping. 26° 7 iron, that’s the same loft as my Mizuno 5 iron!
I got them hi-toes in 52/56/60 and they’re the spinniest wedges I’ve ever had, have so much versatility too and even off centre I still get great spin and flight
Amazed you didn't try Stealth. Fitter at Silvermere dissuaded me from trying Cobras (which I really liked the look of) because he said they wouldn't go to a lower handicap workability down the line. I found the Titleist felt a bit clicky off the face but didn't hit it too badly.
Great Vid again gents. Tubes i’d really be interested in knowing the weight of the irons ( spec) as that was the first think you noticed. Best of luck with them - single digit Handicap on the way 👍
Lovely stuff, and nice bag.👍 What loft is the hybrid? Only reason I ask is that I'd be a little concerned about (if it was me) a 7iron that goes 160 yards, a 5 wood that goes 200 yards, and then a 6iron, a 5iron and a hybrid to fit in between... I don't really have the swing speed for 5iron to work consistently, so I'd be looking at not carrying that, and then splitting the 6iron at 23.5 and the 5wood at 17.5 with the hybrid at around 20.5. I mean, that's just how I set my bag up, with my swing deficiencies. If it works for you, it works.👍
As u have cobra irons again, I suggest you use the arccos that comes with them. It will really help with your game. Might have to get down silvermere for a wedge fitting myself 👍
Another great bit of content fellas. I’ve always had clubs that have been handed down to me from better players. I was naive to think a bad golfer will blame their clubs. Seeing the numbers and the process of a proper club fitting was such an eye opener. Can you get a fitting of this standard at your average club pro shop, or do you need to go to a more specialist fitter to get such quality feedback? Thanks once again for helping me out on the gold journey you GOLF LIFE LEGENDS ⛳️
It really depends on the pro, i got fitted by my local pro at the golf course i'm a member at, free fitting if I bought the clubs. The clubs still feel great and im shooting better scores, added bonus that i can speak with him most days im on the course for tips etc. Buy from your local pro and build a relationship, win/win, he keeps a living and you get help :)
Not sure if you’ve had the new irons or not. But make sure they check the loft & lies before giving them to you. Manufacturers have a 5% tolerance on loft and lie either way. Something I had to check on a recent purchase and glad I did 👍
@@chrisdixon2843 Also explains why there are 5 wedges. The Cobra LTDx PW is 41,5 degrees, the Gap is 47,5 and then the Taylormades round out the bottom end. I have a 3 Hybrid that has more loft (21 degrees) than the Cobra 5i. This is why I don't like the number system for irons anymore. Lofts and perimeter weights are all over the place. Does further stress that if you want to get it right then you need to get fitted and this is what the fitter explains at around the @6:00 mark. Will need to redo the gapping sessions because he now needs to hit a 9i where before he would take a 7i for the same distance.
Hey, you were striking the ball very well with the Cobra Irons, but although they are very strong lofted, your spin rate was only 3000 rpm. That’s very low for a club with 26.5 degrees of loft. Ideal for that club is 5000 plus. It just means you will not get much stopping power come the summer with shots into a green. Iron fittings should be about spin, launch angle and decent angle. Hopefully you prove us all wrong because you struck them well and that is half of the equation.
Belter this tubes, thinking of going for the fitting myself, without being that guy, did you see a big markup in price by doing it or did you think it was pretty comparable to stock prices from websites?
Always do your homework when it comes to club fittings go to different studio’s see what they recommend for you and your standard you’ll have a idea on what feels comfortable for you Great video guys good insight as to what goes on 👍🏻
Tubes is basically copying me 😂. Ping g425 - driver and wood Irons - cobra speedzone Wedges - Taylormade milled grind 2 however for me. Spider great putter choice to
One thing that stood out to me in these two fitting vids was how few Callaway clubs were tested, only the Callaway Rogue ST 3 wood was tested, and that confused me, because in the first video he talked about loft being your friend and gave you the higher lofted Ping G425 5 wood to test, which you mastered, but he then gave you the lower lofted Callaway 3 wood? Why didn’t he give you other 5 woods to try? But he’s put together a cracking set of clubs for you. Did you get the Taylormade putter?
Not sure if he explained off camera that your 7 iron has really strong loft and is more like a 5 iron hence the distance. Also, would have preferred to see him wait for your irons to come in, do a gapping session then working out what wedges you need rather than just going purely off the LTDx GW loft.
A 7 Iron with 3000 RPM spin seems awfully strange to me. I think the old rule of thumb of number x 1000 seems to have become defunct. I should imagine shot shaping would become difficult with such low spin numbers. The kit looks nice though, looking forward to seeing you play with them.
Was going to get fitted having played less than 10 rounds after watching this video and the last 😂😂😂😂 probably thinking it would be the key to stop shanking it out of bounds 8/10 times
Tubes, that fringe is looking magmotional!
Love the way tubes goes about his fitting. No brand bias at all just goes with whatever the fitters says, how it feels hitting and thats that.
Get in! I was bored out of my Titi Camera’s until this notification popped up! Another belter T&A!
wow some amazing shots ther wat a video
Great set up Tubes glad you have got it sorted

Awesome buddy. Your swing just keeps getting better 👍 Can't wait for the first Grudge match with the new clubs!

Great choices Tubes! Anges turn now 😉
Class fellas love it
Damn tubes I hope a brand deal helped front the cost of the new clubs 💵 some serious dough being spent there! Great little series lads 🙌
Been waiting for this for so long and well worth the wait! Looking forward to seeing you smashing fairways and greens with your new bats!
Tubes. Wheres your 1 iron? 🤣 liked as always

Absolutely loved these 2 fitting videos Tubes! Great bag Youve got now 🔥 now lets get Big Ange on next or at least get him fitted for the Big Stick 🚀
Love this Tubes
The boys are back get in there
Well done pal, think you have made the right choice right through the bag. Let hope the game improves and the handicap comes down! 🙏

Next need to do the distance with every club again ha
I’ve just purchased the Cobra LTDs, love them

I have the Hi - Toes great wedges mate

Buzzing for you pal but that was no way a Proper fitting.
If it weren’t for this video! I wouldn’t be contemplating getting a fitting down at Silvermere even though I live miles away from there😂
God to see you've chosen your new clubs. Don't leave them in the car this time!
Nice one tubes looking forward to seeing the next game seeing this handicap come down even further, love the channel lads 👍🏻🏌⛳️
I just got fitted for the same irons and love them
That’s going to be an interesting gapping session video!….
7 iron is carrying 170yds, 5 wood 185yds.
Be interested in how the 5i, 6i & hybrid are going to fit in there!
He doesn’t need those clubs now, that’s the problem with such strong lofts. Might as well Chuck a 3 wood and extra wedge in

Distance depends on loft. Those Cobra's are 26,5 and the Titleist 29 for a 7 iron. The Ping is either 28.5 or 32.3 (retro spec).
