Firstly, Zed, thank for the shout out!
It works, and that's a good thing. That said, it also throws the piece you are turning considerably further away from the headstock. This can introduce problems of its own, so make sure when you use it you stay well outside the line of fire, brother. With the Dux chuck, if the piece comes loose for whatever reason, the design is such that you can always recenter the piece quickly... if you use your marks.
The piece came out quite nice, my friend! I even like the engraving on the front.
