Precisely this. Crazy how everyone’s quick to defend them when it comes to Joey, the man who they all literally owe their career to. But with jay, I haven’t seen one person defend slipknot.
What were they supposed to do?! Wheel him out in a wheelchair and hope he can pick up the sticks?

Corey and Shawn are CLOWNS. Corey was a good vocalist at least but Shawn brought NOTHING! Those assholes killed the band. Paul and Joey were gentle souls who got stepped on by those assholes.

Corey wasn’t even a founding member. He also didn’t even write most of the stuff. After Paul and Joey died slipknot now sucks. Corey still in the band and he acts like it’s his band that he founded. It’s clear to see that with just him he can’t do anything good. RIP Paul, Joey, and the real Slipknot 😢

I followed Joey and learned as he was diagnosed while I was recovering from spinal cord tumor surgery. You never recover from this disease, and as some media reports of his symptoms, my latest issue is breathing, my spinal cord is so damaged and it’s chest down, so I wake up and can’t breathe, and it’s like being underwater, holding your breath coming up and gasping, but your lungs aren’t working. It is a death sentence. I will always be a fan of Joey, but his death was not his fault and he couldn’t beat the clock with this disease. May he rest in peace. I wanted to share this. I’m sorry if I overstepped.

With the Chris Fehn story, I wonder if Corey had anything to say about kicking Joey out.
He's not a founder of the band and Paul was dead. If Corey is just employed by the band like Fehn was, that means Clown could have decided alone to fire Joey.
If you look at it closely, with all the teasing about "Look Outside Your Window" Album never coming, they would want to release an album that neither Paul or Joey worked on and would still release it as "Slipknot" album... like WTF...

Once Paul was gone they didn’t want to put up with Joey anymore because Joey and Paul were the founding members and their relationship is what created Slipknot-definitely one of the worst decisions a band has ever made kicking out the founding drummer and no one disagreed and Paul was not there to stand up for Joe, definitely not a brotherhood anymore-more of a business once Paul died. Love Jay but NO ONE can ever replace Joey

in a mid 00's interview Joey had openly expressed his desire to end the band right here and there should their next record not be considered the heaviest on their discography yet. Understandably this didn't please Corey or Clown at all

Slipknot died with Paul and Joey. Chris and Craig should never have been booted. The only two members i actually still like are Mick and Jim.

Corey is so fake and insufferable. Slipknot creatively ended when Joey and Paul died. Corey is just a vocalist and a promoter, Craham might carry the band for a while, but everyone runs out of ideas someday

Corey clearly too busy thinking about how he looks to remember his dead friends… dude stinks of ego.
No. Joey left do to not being able to play and keep up due to his medical condition that, sadly, took him from us way too soon.
But there are so many other options like finding a temporary drummer to fill in for the next tour so that Joey could get better or given a chance to. They didn't even give him a chance to get help for his condition. And come to find out, once he got better, he could still play, and that looked terrible in the fans eyes.
Joey got over the disease way before his death.

If you were a great fan of Joey himself then you’d know that his disease never killed him. His current band left the message saying he died alone and he suffered from his own demons with substance abuse.
