I wondering about Mid Florida and using a shallow well to cool an insulated 8x8 shack under the trees down to 75F when it's 90F outside?

Why dump the water?
Why not run a return line to the well and just reuse it?

It could freeze the well. Why because it removes 3 degrees every cycle and the return of the heat from the surrounding water table is too slow to keep up with the needs. but if you return it in another well say 30 feet away it would be ok.

How about a closed loop system that goes into and then back out of the cold well water?

I have an old 3 foot diameter concrete well (1942). There's water 40 feet down. Dunno how deep the well goes. There's a 2 inch pipe but no pump now. Never tried to use it.
The newer active well is just a drilled hole. Must be a way to connect these and do geothermal?
