I love how Special Stage 2 is the most well-known and often considered the hardest or worst historically despite it being the only remotely enjoyable level in a real time setting out of special world. The other levels are just *that* save state friendly in comparison.
Honesty, I'm disappointed that the full stream was never uploaded, and is now lost to Twitch. I know you don't do full stream uploads, Jared, but c'mon! This was the one time you had Jon on as a co-com, a highlight reel isn't the same as having the full experience. Honestly, I think any of your video game streams should be uploaded in full, especially Kaizo Mario and Cursed Halo. They're rare enough that it doesn't need to apply to your normal drum streams. As someone that rarely gets to see your streams live, it just leaves me feeling like I missed out. I did manage to see the full Kaizo Mario stream, once, but I just assumed you would upload the whole stream somewhere on UA-cam.
This was a good trip down Memory Lane. I found Jon's Channel in 2008/2009 looking up Ninja Gaiden stuff and found that video and it never gets old hearing the references to that video

After watching this again... I'm actually kind of impressed. Well, obviously, I'm impressed by Jerod managing to make his way through, but I'm also impressed at how much trial and error this must have taken to make, since there are so many things where you have to be pixel perfect. It'd be incredibly easy to mess up on that and make a level which is literally impossible, but all the levels are possible. They're just also sadistic.
I haven't forgotten the rage of the legendary ProtonJon. His RAGE over the infamous invisible coin blocks abused by troll romhackers ALWAYS made me laugh until my sides ache! 😂😂😂😂
