This is World War 3. I have been saying it for years at this point but this latest development proves things are just like they were in World War 2.

It is interesting that people can not see that Putin is not joking. His approach is that of a man bidding his time, taking notes, positioning his chess pieces, while his opponent foolishly chases pawns.
@nicks2581, Because it’s not a world war yet. Alliance lines are pretty clear to set one up, but the only truly “hot front” is in Ukraine. That’s not even a “regional war” yet. It will take escalation to be WW3.
The government wont tell us much of anything at this point honestly.

As a side note, I am seeing large numbers of young Russian men these days. When I speak to them they all speak broken English and their families are all still in Russia.
People make jokes that Russia is running out of men; no Russia's men are simply all here in the US right now.

Got to remember Russia has a history of leaving their allies high and dry (a lot like us in some respects). Most recently Armenia. They were apart of their bootleg NATO knock off, but they didn’t really do anything to help them during the war with Azerbaijan. Russia is friends with both of them and they like to call themselves the protectors of the area.

This Mannlicher G98/40 is a pretty sweet rifle passed down from my Grandfather.

I got an 8mm mauser also mine is yugoslavian service rifle
My uncle procured a Mauser during WWII. He was one of the first to cross the Remagen and set up a radio post.
He received a bronze star for that and war booty.
Magic is ripe for the draft.

I have been saying it was WW3 since Russia went into the UKR. No one listened. WW2 technically began with Japan and China making incursions into surrounding countries leading to a domino effect.
That said, I am glad you are making it clear to so many others. Keep it up. 👍

Why? The mini 14 costs more and does everything less well than the AR. It used to be in the old old times the thing the mini 14 had was being cheaper, but now it solely exists for us to have our A-Team fantasy larp
@@timunderbakke8756 if you look at features, does it really cost more? It comes with a really good trigger, quality factory components, and a cold hammer forged barrel from the factory. Have you recently priced out an AR build with a cold hammer forged barrel, a good trigger, and quality parts?
Don't get me wrong, I love my ARs, but a quality build isn't cheap (especially these days).
Also, the main reason for choosing a mini is for the grey man look, aka you want minimal attention.

Comparing U.S. involvement in WWII and what is happening now in Ukraine:
During the first few years of WWII, the majority of the U.S. population was strongly isolationist, clearly remembered the horrors of WWI and was unwilling for American troops to fight "Europe's wars." And the executive branch (FDR and subordinates) of the federal government could only get Congressional support for a Lend-Lease program in which the U.S. sold or rented surplus and older ships and weapons systems to Britain. Yes, the U.S. government knew of the concentration camps and the systemic genocide the Nazis were carrying out in Europe, and the press and radio news did report these atrocities to the U.S. population, but this did not change the isolationist opinion of the majority of the civilian population. Most firmly believed the war would stay in Europe and have not impact upon the U.S. if the U.S. stayed out of the war.
Currently, the U.S. and allied nations have been GIVING (not lending or leasing) weapons systems, ammunition, intelligence support and training to Ukraine. And much of this has been the latest and most advanced in weapons technologies. That is a much more direct support by the U.S. than what happened during the early years of WWII.
The U.S. only became an active participant in WWII when the forces of Japan (a Nazi ally) attacked -- without a declaration of war -- U.S. military installations (Pearl Harbor, Kaneohe, Schofield Barracks and Hickam Field) on Oahu. The next day, U.S. military installations in the Philippines were attacked. The attack on Oahu was enough to rile up the previously isolationist U.S. civilian population and many thousands of young and no so young men the next day rushed to sign-up to fight the Japanese and the Nazis. And, with the support of the public, the executive branch and Congress created many laws to nationalize industrial and agricultural production and put the U.S. production on a war footing to fight a land war in Europe and a sea war mostly in the Pacific.
The parallel today would be If Russian military forces directly attack U.S. territory or the U.S Navy anywhere in the world's oceans or U.S. installations in a foreign country, there will likely be a declaration of war by the U.S. Congress against Russia. And Putin understands this. Not sure if Kim understands this. And Putin maybe planning to use North Korea as a proxy to attack the U.S. while Russia stays out of the splash zone.
They tried to draft me long ago, but I enlisted, so I had a choice, unlike all those draftees, sworn in, then Marines, looked at the draftees, and grabbed as many as they wanted! The looks on the draftees faces, were terrifying looks!
So, it will happen again.... nowhere to run this time, since that country will draft too.
Understand that it will be very bad, if you run.
I made it. And I purposely chose a ft. Line combat unit. Didn't sissy out of it.
